Need a miracle shampoo and conditioner for very dry, brittle, thin hair.

I’ve tried Redken, Olaplex, Davines (from my hairdressers), Philip Kingsley and my hair which is straight is still like straw. I don’t dye it and am washing, conditioning and blow drying every 3 days and use a heat protectant, a leave in conditioner and olaplex oil. I’m in my 60s, take HRT, Vitamin D, B complex and zinc, Im not anaemic but just have crap hair. It’s always been thin, dry and fine but as I get older it’s just getting even dryer. I’ve only got random grey hairs which have a life of their own. Any recommendations for a shampoo and conditioner that might help get some more moisture into it?

Unpopular opinion but I think olaplex actually ruined my hair it became very brittle and dry , maybe I overused it but felt it was pushed on me constantly at salon I went to , I used all the steps , putting moisture back in definitely helps .

Following with interest as my hair is dry and basically fried after using the Revlon One Step too. I initially used it on partially dry hair but then discovered it worked well using from wet and destroyed my hair. I’ve also stopped using it now. I have some Olaplex I am going to try tomorrow and I think I may have Elacistizer too. I have read good things about the K18 too.

I think there seems to be lot of anecdotal evidence emerging from people saying the same thing. Too much protein can make it brittle. I think it's to do with the porosity of your hair. I have really cut down on using it and am just trying to finish it off as it's so expensive. The home Olaplex products don't seem to work for me anymore. I still have it included when I have highlights and it definitely helps then.

I have a similar problem with wonder water. It makes my hair sticky and I can barely get a comb through it.

Like the sound of the hair syrup!

I’ll report back when the kerastase arrives. I think the Revlon one step has has the biggest bad effect on condition. It’s always been dry, very thin and brittle but this took it too a whole new level of fried straw.

I also had the same issue with Revlon one step. Like you, I was initially impressed with the ease of styling, then my hair got fried.

Other posters seem to love it, but it definitely damaged my hair.

I loved it too @CinnamonJellyBeans. Now not so much! Am looking for a replacement that may be easier on the hair.
