Please offer me your suggestions for the following and I will be so grateful:

Skincare
Gentle cosmetic procedures
Vitamins
Anything else to spring back!

I'm 40 and I'm recovering from a disastrous pregnancy injury. I've been on my back most of my baby's life, not able to exercise or do any of the normal things I'd do post-partum. Had to stop breastfeeding, sadly, so I can go for things like teeth whitening, and I'm not adverse to the tiniest bit of Botox. I don't think.
I have a 3 year old and a 7 month-old baby so needs to be non time-consuming!

I need to try to get my old self back, regain my glow and feel better about myself. I've got pretty good skin but I'm definitely seeing lines across my forehead and there's an unmistakable crepey skin thing going on with my neck. I use La Roche posay factor 50 on my face and neck, bb cream, not loads of makeup... Smile

I wouldn't try teeth whitening because it can damage your teeth. Don't take my word for it. There's advice online from dentists. Don't do anything that may end up requiring a fix (and there isn't one for damaged teeth) later on because fixes never look as good as the original. Also, you don't know how much money you'll end up having in the future.

I spent most of last year on the sofa with an injury and know what it's like to feel in need of a tune up! My advice is to focus on your health and fitness to the extent you can because if those are taken care of, you'll look better and feel so much better.

I'd bet that some of your feelings of bleh are coming from muscle deterioration if you've been stuck on your back for months or even weeks. Is there any type of movement at all that you can do? If there is, why not spend that money on getting a trainer who specializes in recovery? You might be able to find someone who'll visit. The Nuffield gym chain is attached to a private healthcare company and has branches in many areas. Many of the trainers really know what they're talking about when it comes to recovery.

Another thing that helped me to feel much better was to deal with my skin. I had very dry skin with keratosis pilaris. I spent money on skincare treatments/products and can't believe what a difference they've made. Exfoliating with a scrub (doesn't have to be expensive) and a brush regularly over a few weeks is what worked for me.

Because you've had medical problems, I'd get a blood test to find out if you have vitamin deficiencies. I had an iron deficiency and a daily tablet has made me feel like Superwoman.

Maybe also schedule a hair appointment at a good salon. Always makes me feel better. Good luck.

A good haircut, start a sensible skincare regime which includes daily spf and start going for gentle, daily walks.
