I need some new decent jeans desperately please tell me where you buy yours from?

OP posts:
GinoVino · 03/01/2023 14:00

I also have a pair of Bershka straight leg jeans from ASOS that I love OP.

Shitfather · 03/01/2023 14:02

Very impressed with Primark. Zara ones also suit me. I never buy high end ones.

cannaethink · 03/01/2023 14:08

I got mom jeans from Mango recently and I love them. I went back and got black ones too. I also like Zara jeans.
I don’t get the love for M&S or Next jeans but I guess I’m not the right shape maybe.
I like high waisted with no stretch.

VanillaSpiceCandle · 03/01/2023 15:12

I used to love Topshop’s Jamie skinny jeans but River Island’s Mollys are very good too. I also like the 721 Levi’s but just bought a pair of Levi mom jeans for a different shape. Very nice but quite expensive.

MistySkiesAreGone · 03/01/2023 15:13

M&S mom jeans are great. I have light wash and indigo. Bit wider on the leg than some. Hard to style in winter, they look best with a lace up or chelsea boot. Great with a trainer and cropped puffer. Try all the sizes and lengths lol.

River Island good but not always stretchy - also size up. Also a bit edgy - distressed etc.

M&S Ivy skinny is also excellent. I also like the Eva BootCut which is slim on the thigh. Sienna Straight is also a slim one, doesn't do a lot for my hourglass.

Boden have a sale on jeans. Their girlfriend jean is a good in between slim and mom.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 03/01/2023 15:23

Levi 311 - stretchy comfort!
All Saints - the edginess I'm looking for
However, I do mostly wear skinny jeans (they will have to prise them off my cold dead corpse) so for wider leg I'd probably look at Monki.

OwwwMuuuum · 03/01/2023 15:25

River Island has gone right off recently. I’ve been buying them for years (Blair and Mollie). A blue pair of Mollies’s I just bought was such shit quality material that they ripped right round the waistband the first time I wore them. I’m not cheaping out on jeans any more.

TimeforaGandT · 03/01/2023 15:28

Esprit do a range of leg lengths and are good quality.

sheeplikessleep · 03/01/2023 15:29

Love Lee Scarlett … not cheap but different lengths and they just feel well made and flattering.

ouch321 · 03/01/2023 15:34

I go for Next or River Island.

I used to love Topshop Baxter.

It's impossible now to buy jeans as they used to be in the 2000s and early 2010s. They are all jegging-y material to some extent even if they are not labelled as jeggings.

I also have to buy jeans marked Short Length although I'm average height which I find both weird and annoying. Otherwise Regular Length just bunches at my ankles.

MrsVeryTired · 03/01/2023 15:35

Agree with Lee for quality and better styling.
Next fine for basics

MrsVeryTired · 03/01/2023 15:36

And usually TKMaxx for branded jeans like Lee.

HelenHywater · 03/01/2023 15:38

H&M jeans are really good! I have a couple of pairs and my teenage dd has tried to steal them.

I also just got a pair in the Me&Em sale.

Raey jeans (Matches) are nice too.

iloveburmese3 · 03/01/2023 15:39

What's the budget..

Creamcheesedreams · 03/01/2023 15:40

Madewell and Everlane have modern flattering fits. I have a couple of each and love them

MrsWhites · 03/01/2023 15:43

M&S Sienna straight leg. Stradivarius or primark for skinny - can’t beat the primark skinnies for £12!!

Baconand · 03/01/2023 15:43

Tu from Sainsbury’s have some surprisingly good ones. I think I have Girlfriend ones from there which are brilliant and so cheap.

I also really like my Fat Face ones, so soft and wear really well.

Grin What proportion of the UK population are you hoping will respond? What if you get 30 million replies?Shock How will you decide who to trust?

AKA might it not be helpful to narrow the options a little?

Hahah you could say that about all posts on here ! No one would ever post again

Carpediem15 · 03/01/2023 15:51

5ft 3 same as me - don't bother with M and S are the short are now too long for me since they changed the leg length.
Believe it or not Bon Marche do great jeans in different styles and from 25" leg length.

Depends how much you want to pay. I just got 3 pairs of good American, in their sale. Love them

Sorry off topic a bit here but just wondering what the sizing is like in Good Americas?
No local stockist near me to try them on but would love to try them,?

Unexpectedbaby · 03/01/2023 15:57

@Crazycrazylady sizing was really good in my opinion. If you use the size chart on their website it's really useful. They give waist inches at .5 inches.

I am typically a U.K. 10/12, waist 29/30. In their 'rigid denim' (which by the way are some of the softest jeans I have owned) I went with a US 10 which is a 30.5in waist as they recommend sizing up in that denim. They got like a glove.

I'm the comfort denim I also got a US 10 which work with a belt but I will size down to an 8 when I get another pair.

Also, I got one pair from John Lewis but the other 2 on their own website. No issues with shipping and save a lot more money than buying them from a U.K. stockist.

That's is really helpful.

Weekday "Rowe" for a straight leg

Zara for skinny fit or mom jeans

H&M are good for mom jeans too

IWasFunBeforeMum · 03/01/2023 16:13

M&S.

LakeFlyPie · 03/01/2023 16:15

Sainsbury’s straight leg. Dark denim and black. Just the right amount of stretch and £16!
