Dyson Hairdryer.. thoughts? Ungrateful?

My OH has bought me one for my birthday a couple of days ago. I already have a GHD one, and others. It's over £300.

My instinct is to return it - I don't need a hairdryer, he's only bought it as a 'something' (my birthday straight after Christmas makes it hard to find things I want/need.). If I had £300 to spare I'd rather get my teeth whitened (which I want but struggle to justify).

That said, I've got thick unmanageable hair.

Anyone got one and think they're amazing? Returning it feels ungrateful but keeping it feels like a waste...

Keep and use it, and have a conversation about what you want next Christmas and birthday.

I wouldnt be without mine!! It dries my hair in half the time and it's so shiny & healthy since I've used it! Definitely keep it!! It's worth £300 for a reason!!

My mum's new one came complete with huge spider in the box- the factory is in Singapore or Malaysia and it must have hitched a lift .

Love mine. Best thing I bought.

Thick hair here and I love it for its lightness speed and hair feels and looks better , I still have to style with straightener after but is def smoother

I'd return it, but that's just because I have one and actively disliked it. I keep meaning to sell on ebay (or similar) but am a bit wary of scam buyers and so on so just avoid it.

I liked the appearance of it and I loved how quiet it was but functionally I hated it, it didn't dry my hair any quicker than my previous dryer (Babyliss 3Q), wasn't as light as i'd hoped it would be and it just tangled up my hair and left it looking a bit flatter than usual no matter what setting I used to what attachment I used. I persevered for a week or so in denial about it and then shoved it back in the box.

If I open it I can't return tho.. it's cello wrapped..

If it’s direct from dyson I did read you can return them.

Not a fan of the vacuum cleaners or the fan as they are plastic crap but the hairdryer is the best hands down.

I have very long thick hair and bought one after a back injury made it painful to dry my hair for long periods of time.

The Dyson dries my hair in a fraction of the time and does cause frizz and it’s very quiet so the dogs are happy to be in the same room!

I prefer my Parlux , not impressed with the Dyson at all. Get your teeth whitened.

Check with Dyson, you will most likely be able to send it back as they have a large refurbished site on eBay where I bet all the returns get sold. I bought one off there and it was still in the cellophane and brand new but some come in a refurbished box which will be the opened ones that people are not happy with and returned.

I love mine, I have fine hair prone to frizz. The Dyson dries it really fast, so no time to frizz, I also use the smoothing attachment. I like the way the attachments are magnetic so I can turn them at an angle when drying.
