Where to find’style’ and start building wardrobe?

I have no style, I have put on weight and just Jane have given up, wear t shirts/jumpers/jeans all the time.

i had a SBS analysis done a while ago (before the furore) and didn’t find it all that useful.

I’m nearing 50, whilst I know I want to lose weight I want to look now too, I want to find a few good bits and start from there.

Where can I get a sense of my ‘style’ and work out what capsule items to buy?

Have a look around Pinterest and start a board of looks you like? That might help you to start seeing a pattern of clothes or a style that you like?

I'm in a similar position OP. I've lost the weight but happily fallen into the trap of working from home, jeans and a jumper, mascara if I'm feeling fancy. I've started trying to watch videos on deciding what my body type is and trying to figure out my colouring. In my heart of hearts I'd love to dress like Kristin Scott-Thomas (in most things but definitely Slow Horses if you've seen that) but of course there's no point shopping for a life I don't live! So I'm trying to slowly drag myself into a smart but comfortable working from home wardrobe. It's hard to decide what I like, but I know instinctively what I don't like, so I'm starting from there.

Justine Leconte is quite interesting on You Tube for figuring out shapes that might be useful to your body type.

Try stitch fix - you just fill out a profile and tell them the kind of thing you might like and they will curate some pieces for you. You could have it monthly for three months to kickstart your wardrobe and then just seasonally or just stop.
