Milia?

StPaulandTheBrokenBones · 10/12/2022 12:15

I thought that but having googled it it seems that it could be other things as well. I’m assuming I can’t just pick it off myself but I just wondered if anyone else had had one and managed to get rid of it.

I'd guess milia. I won't tell you how I dealt with mine as I'm sure it's not exactly sound medical practice 😂

ps: you have a very pretty eye colour, OP

Milia. I went to a beautician in town, she removed about 3 of mine for £40.

StPaulandTheBrokenBones · 10/12/2022 12:33

That’s good news that I can get it removed! It looks horrible.

ChocAuVin - thanks! They are a bit of an odd colour, slightly yellow in places.

Have you been to an optician? That might be the best call.

KangarooKenny · 10/12/2022 12:42

I wouldn’t have anyone poking around that close to your eye. Is it not a stye ?

VioletLemon · 10/12/2022 12:46

My Dad had similar, they were cholesterol deposits, I'd get your GP to have a look, even pharmacist could possibly advise.

Yellow spots around eyes are an indicator of high cholesterol. They are literally fat deposits. May be with getting checked out by the gp and getting a blood test

glasshole - thanks for this. I didn’t know that so I’ll make an appointment with my GP

VioletLemon - thank you too. Sorry, I hadn’t read your message when I posted before.

Like a PP I got rid of mine myself too. Probably not good advice but I stuck a pin in mine and squeezed it out. It was like a hard plastic ball! Didn't bleed and didn't come back either.

If they are milia you could give them a soft rub with a warm damp flannel each night when you wash your face. They'll go in around a week.
