How to look less exhausted

Thanks to the menopause my sleep is dreadful and as a result I look shattered half the time.

I have the usual bag of make up tricks but wondered if there was any one product that you love which instantly makes you look more refreshed and well rested?

I started tretinoin a few months ago and swear by it now. It’s given my skin a really lovely glow and I definitely look less haggard (to the point where I can just about face the school run make-up free!) If I could only ever use one product on my face again it’d be that!

Just to add - the results aren’t instant but I definitely noticed a difference within the first month

Not quite one, but a small handful that might help :)
Make up wise: This high cover YSL concealer pen under my eyes and for the red bits around my nose really helps. It's not the original Touche Eclat pen, the high cover version has a bit more welly to it. This liquid blush in the orgasm shade. The powder version is good, but for my skin now I'm in my 40s this is much better. I never got what the fuss was about with this product when I was younger, but now I'm a bit older its hands down my favourite blush.
I suffer with my sleep as well, I find these magnesium supplements about half an before bedtime and these cheapie herbal sleep supplements have really helped.

Magnesium and a herbal supplement before bed here too. If you are sweating a lot don’t forget to boost your electrolytes. And up your water intake.
I drink a big glass of warm water with lemon squeezed into it before my morning tea. It helps with my dark under circles.

Ooh thanks all. Will investigate. At this point I'm willing to try anything!

I find mixing glow drops or a bit of shimmery liquid highlighter with my foundation really helps lift my foundation.

If it's too shimmery, you can tone down with a light dusting of translucent powder.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is very good - gives skin a lift. I got some really useful recommendations from Bobbi Brown - they charge for a makeup session but it’s redeemable off products. Lots of good, light foundations, and they have an excellent concealer - slightly peach toned - they match it to your skin tone, and it really helps camouflage dark circles, carefully brushed on. All the recommendations re water and vitamins are very helpful too.
