Anyone changed from cool to warm colouring?

So I’ve always thought I’m cool colouring. Pale skin, blue/green eyes, dark blonde hair. Suit clean colours (pastels, turqoises, navy) rather than anything muted like khaki or rust.

But. I have got a bit more tanned over the years and gone blonder and things seem to changing. I now look better in ecru than white. I bought a coral/orange jumper and it suits me. I’ve always worn silver jewellery but finding gold actually looks just as good… possibly better?

Anyone else?

I definitely went from only wearing gold jewellery and having blonde highlights to reaising I liked my natural reddish brown hair and silver jewellery. It's fun to switch it up. Sounds like you've gotten yourself out of a style rut 😃

I am in late 40's always blonde, pale, blue eyes. Was cool until past few years but now seem to be neutral as whilst I suit silver I also suit gold and red, orange and cream.
My hair has darkened with age, but last time i hade pale, cool highlights I looked washed out.

You cannot actually change skin tone. You're wither warm or cool. But within that there are variations, one of which includes neutral.

I'm know I sit within a cool neutral skin tone so I often wear gold, silver and rose gold jewellery. But it's the tones that matter most with this. If you're indeed a cool tone, but fall into the neutral category you'll find that softer gold (such as pale gold and brushed golds) colours suit you, whereas a darker or brighter gold (think 22k gold such as Indian Gold jewellery, or fake shiny gold which is often bright and warm tone) will not suit you.

Hair and skin colour (ie: a tan) will help you to be able to pull off different colours and tones than others. I can get away with wearing brighter / bolder warm colours at times if I have a deeper fake tan on. Doesn't mean they're my best colours as I know I'm still and will always remain a cool skin tone, but they don't look dreadful on me as they would if I didn't have a tan or a different hair colour.

Agree with pp that your skin tone won’t change with age, eg If you’re cool, you always will be. However agree that a change of hair colour and a tan can make it easier to wear colours from the other spectrum. I’m totally 100% cool but when I dye my hair and use some fake tan (don’t tan naturally), I can carry off some warm colours much better

Just popping back to say a very belated thanks for the replies which somehow I totally missed!

Cool neutral does sound like me - yes it would have to be pale and brushed golds, I couldn’t carry off those bright yellow golds. Good tip.

Have now bought a second coral/orange jumper 😆 I will need to keep up the highlights and tan!
