Keeping face warm in winter

Does anyone have suggestions for a scarf or snood etc to keep your cheeks warm in winter please? I know I can wrap a scarf up high but it keeps falling down.

I have been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia and am finding that going out into the cold is triggering it but it eases as soon as my face warms up again.

I saw Womens balaclava type things on next that might do?!

An infinity scarf would probably stay up better and plenty available.

Outdoor type shops have various solutions too - snoods, hats with flaps, full on balaclava.

Depends how warm you want to stay v how stylish you want to look.

I saw quite a few sort of half balaclavas on ASOS earlier that looked reasonably like cold weather wear rather than the typical criminal associated attire, maybe worth a look.

I also suffer with TN and I know that triggers will differ but I've always found it's cold wind getting into my ears that really sets me off do I find it so helpful to make sure my ear is blocked or covered with earplugs/headphones, knitted headband, earmuffs or a combination of seversl and I keep a hood up when I can when out walking in wind.

It's so painful that I no longer care what I look like but I don't think any of it is very noticeable or out of place in winter. A snood might help if you need to keep your mouth covered.

Could you try something like this? I have one similar that I wear over my ski helmet but this does look cosy and cute and not as much like an actual ski mask. Or look for neck gaiters that you can pull up. I have an icebreaker one it’s thin but quite warm
