Erborian CC or BB?

I’ve finally been indoctrinated by the hive mind into buying Erborian… but should I get CC or BB?

I use bare minerals tinted moisturiser at the moment, which I quite like. I’m aiming for a sheer “no make up” but glowy good skin look.

Ive just looked at the bb cream on line
there seems to be a choice of

clair
and nude
the clair looks lighter on line .. anyone know if this is the case please as i am
quite pale ( use the clair cc)

Yes Clair is lighter

Nude is lighter than Clair. I wear Nude because Clair is too dark for me.

(With MAC I'm NW20 if that helps).

DH is getting me the CC in Dore for Christmas, so we shall see.

My skin is quite yellow/golden so hopefully I won’t have a problem with it being too orange as some have mentioned.

Wonder if he’ll notice if I try it out before Xmas and put it back in the box…

I was in space NK today. I looked at cc in Dore and Clair together to compare. Clair is definitely my shade. I think dore would suit if you are more golden.

I use the CC for day to day wear and the Bb when I want more coverage. This is my second large tube of CC. I think it’s great.

yes Clair is lighter. But they also have different tones from eachother.

The dore could look quite orangey if you don’t have the right undertone for it.

Dore certainly looks orange on me! DD2 has tried and also looks patchy orange. DD1 refuses to try anything that claims to adapt to your skin tone and I'm not surprised.

It really is quite yellow/orange. I do a sample of Clair BB that arrived with it, but I wasn't that sold on the consistency, which dragged, even over primer, and the patchy coverage. Pores and fine lines seemed more obvious as well.

Doré means golden & clair means light.

I'm pretty pasty and clair disappears beautifully on my skin.

I imagine it depends on your skin type. I can't use IT CC but I know others swear by it

Just reporting back - I got the Dore CC and unfortunately it is a little orange.

My skin has quite a yellowy tone but this was more orange. I think it’ll be okay in the summer when I’ve got a slight tan though.

My update: I tried the Clair sample, as the dore was orange on me.

The Clair started well, but by midday I was orange again. A paler orange than the dore, perhaps more apricot.

I use the BB and it's not at all orange. I'm quite pale and both Clair and Nude are good matches on me.

I think it goes:
CC lightest (and there's a water version which is even lighter)
BB medium
Super BB fuller coverage

It clearly (from this thread) depends on perception!
Although I didn't get on with the CC because of the orange factor, the consistency is definitely more liquidy (think a lotion rather than a cream) and the coverage lighter. The BB is a cream, and I'd say medium full coverage. I imagine BB Super to be something like Doublewear.

I wear the dore and mix it with the clair, I know it's more expensive this way, but I get the most perfect colour.

If you want light coverage, get their CC water. I use it daily for work, and I use the CC cream as a foundation for heavier coverage.
