Changing labret earrings - help!!

Does anyone have experience in changing earrings that go in through the back of the ear lobes?

One of my stud fronts broke off, I have another earring but it doesn’t fit the labret that’s in my ear lobe right now. So I need to change the post too. Never used these threaded studs before but I do see the benefit for reduced bacteria, comfortable side sleeping etc so know I need to get the hang of it!

Any tips if you use these type of earrings regularly?

I wear labret studs all the time but don’t quite understand your post - what exactly is the problem? Do you need to source some replacement parts or just need some advice about changing them?

They can be a bit fiddly to get in when you’re used to threading them in from the front, but I can usually feel where the hole is at the back, or if I’m having trouble, using a mirror and looking for the hole at the back of my earlobe.

I read a tip online to insert a normal butterfly earring within putting the butterfly on, then use the post sticking out the back to guide the labret into the correct place.

Sorry I probably didn’t explain well - I find it REALLY hard to put them in from the back! I managed to make my ears weep a bit trying to do it alone, got DH to help in the end and they are in. Not removing them now unless I have !

That’s a good tip thank you
