Recommend your warm pyjamas

For the second night in a row, I've woken up freezing at 4am. It's not even that cold as we have the heating on during the day (off at night) but I'm really feeling it.

Normally don't wear anything to bed but I think that has to change. Can you recommend some really warm PJs? Ideally traditional button shirt ones, a bit Christmassy is a plus.

Thank you!

Cyberjammies are my go to. Some lovely style usually.

Justellingthetruth · 02/12/2022 05:59

@Eleusa

i find satin ones keep me most warm oddly

PAFMO · 02/12/2022 06:02

M&S have some red checked brushed cotton ones. £28 iirc. Much warmer than "fleece" type pyjamas. I also take a hot water bottle.

dontgobaconmyheart · 02/12/2022 12:53

Electric underblabket? They're amazing OP.

If I wake up cold I just press the button and it warms up seconds later.

I don't overly like wearing pyjamas to bed.

Eleusa · 02/12/2022 13:04

Thank you, everyone- will have a look.

@dontgobaconmyheart, sadly DH and I have opposite problems- he's always too hot. Perhaps someone can invent a 50-50 warming/cooling blanket 😄

I’d agree that an electric blanket is the way to go. I woke up early this morning abodolutely perishing, put the blanket in to 1 and was warm and cozy in no time.

midsomermurderess · 02/12/2022 13:09

I think there are such electric blankets.

Badger1970 · 02/12/2022 13:11

I got some really soft thick velour ones from Sainsburys, think they were £18. I was ripping them off weeks ago in temper as they were too warm but I've had them on the last night and have just ordered more as I was so cosy.

You can get ones where you control both halves of the bed separately.

I also sometimes have a small blanket over the duvet just on my side.

Eleusa · 02/12/2022 13:38

Thanks- had no idea about the blankets!

Uniqlo has some good flannel PJs. I find them too warm most nights but perfect for really cold ones

M0rT · 02/12/2022 19:05

The hottest pajamas I have are velour Primark. I can only wear them if it's very cold or I wake up too hot!

princessbear80 · 02/12/2022 19:50

I’ve just ordered these brushed cotton ones:
www.pourmoi.co.uk/products/cosy-check-brushed-cotton-pyjama-set/?source=findologic&curr=GBP&ucProductResults%24ddOrderBy=Sort+by

They’re not Christmas pyjamas, but the colours match my son’s ones which are very definitely Christmas pyjamas!

GaladrielHiggins · 02/12/2022 20:43

I use a fleece throw on my side of the bed, over the covers if it’s not too cold, under the covers if it is.

Shitfather · 03/12/2022 07:52

Primark is rammed with warm pjs at the mo. I bought some lovely checked brushed cotton ones, and they are warm. I wear an oodie on top at night (cheapo P’mark one) and it’s so cosy as I can cover my head.

comfortablyfrumpy · 03/12/2022 08:45

Just use a single electric blanket on your side of the bed.

I do this. Toasty! I have it on almost the lowest setting, too.

Ladybyrd · 03/12/2022 08:46

Sainsburys tartan.

CinnamonJellyBeans · 03/12/2022 08:56

If you don't like wearing PJs, then you're going to struggle wearing clothes in bed. The fleece idea, over or under the covers is a good one, as you can just throw it off if you get too hot. Brushed cotton bedding is also very warm and feels nice.

gianfrancogorgonzola · 03/12/2022 08:58

I wear thermal leggings / long sleeved tops. Uniqlo or M&S.
