Avoid Trinny London - disappointed in the product and online experience

  1. Next day delivery took 3 days.
  2. I bought two eye shadows and one lip pot with their smart match. The colours are so different in real life comparing to the website, I thought I received the wrong order. The pots are cheap and feel plasticy. Does not match the price at all,
  3. Return and customer service experience are painful. Royal mail (link provided on TL's website) does not accept TL's order number. So I took the screenshot and emailed TL's support team to seek further advice, but only been told to "enter the order number". They clearly did not read the email at all.

That is I do love Trinny's insta posts and her online persona. Her clothes advice are very practical. But her products - such a disappointment.

I have never had any issues and have bought quite a bit from the line. I love the eyeshadows and the BFF stuff and the de stress.
I have mine shipped internationally and it always arrives within a few days of my order being placed.

I agree with lots of the posters here, I love the majority of Trinny London products. But I was really posting to add that normally the delivery is super quick. I think the slow arrival is more likely a Royal Mail issue.

I decided to never try them when they used a model with a skin condition (that I also have) and treated it inappropriately.

I'm a huge Trinny fan. Her BFFs are the only products that don't trigger my rosacea and I have several of the eyeshadows and lip2cheek products. I find them easy to apply and remove.

Sorry you had that experience OP. Like many others here though, I’ve been really happy with my Trinny London make up. The BFF serum and BFF cream, with Just A Touch really works for my skin. They give me the dewy, natural finish needed for mature skin, whilst effectively covering blemishes and lasting all day. I can take or leave the eyeshadows, but I also love the lip pots. I hear what you say about the cheap plastic pots. I thought that too at first, but we have to bear in mind that part of the way in which her stuff is promoted, is to be easy for travelling (hence the stacking pots, a very useful concept). To make packaging more substantial would inevitably make it heavier, which would defeat that purpose.

Sorry you were disappointed. Personally I love her products and I have at least 20 of them. The destress is the only "foundation" I've been buying on repeat for the last few years.

I tend to buy directly at Fenwick but the couple of times that I've bought online, it has been fine

I've never been convinced by her finger painting approach to make up but have nearly been swayed by some of the rave reviews. Appreciate hearing about the downsides as balance so thanks OP.

I used to buy a lot from TL, I loved the BFF but have now gone back to Boots no7 BB cream for as good results at half the price. I do like my TL blusher but found the eyes shadows disappear and the lipstick drying and didn't last either. I stopped buying when she launched her hugely expensive skin care range, feel like I'm not the target audience anymore.

I really love the lip to cheek, though I only use it as cheek as I have a weird aversion to lipstick.
I find it lasts all day, even from 7am to 1am is the longest I've tried and it still was there.

I like the BFF too although it is quite expensive I think it does give a nicer finish than any other BB type cream. I do use cheaper ones for day to day but love trinnys for upping the finish.

I do like just a touch as well, though I wonder if the same effect could be achieved with a pot set concealer- I may try NARS next.

The trinny concealer was lovely but not enough coverage for my undereye which is actually black, so I use maybelline there instead.

The eye pots are great for being able to have a decent eye look in 30 seconds. Though again maybelline do a dupe, but they are slightly harder to work with.

But I'm glad I found her and her philosophy of not hiding the skin. I have great skin and take care of it (she boasts) and I used to cover it all up with thick foundations. Now I prefer to have just a glow and some blusher, and be out the door in 3 minutes if I want to.
