I need to give my skin a glow

My menopausal and tired skin is looking flat and a bit meh. I don’t wear much makeup - just mascara and lipstick but I need something natural looking that will give it a glow. My skin is pale and I don’t tan. What would you recommend please? High street budget.

Try any skin care you choose for 3 months. It will take a while. If you're not already drink looooads of water

Is there any evidence that drinking water is good for skin? I always thought that hasn't been proven other than annecdotally?

I use no7 tinted moisturiser and origins under eye cream which is slightly tinted.

There's a finite amount of water your body needs to be healthy. Any more than that will do feck all apart from increased trips to the loo and a desire to eat salty snacks Grin

I have never found drinking loads of water to help really.
The one thing I have noticed that makes a difference drinking wise is a green smoothie (spinach, cucumber and apple) every morning.
I’ve just ordered a sample pack of those Angela Lansford oils - they look lovely.

Oooh and not drinking alcohol ( my skin on a Monday morning compared to a Friday morning is definitely noticeable - saggy looking and dull!).

Alpha H liquid gold. The Tan Luxe drops that you add into your moisturiser are good too, you can buy the teeny bottles on ASOS to see if you like it before shelling out on a big bottle.

I've been on 2 litres of water a day since July and it's done feck all for my skin, was doing it to aid weight loss.

This 3 minute mask from M&S is pretty good for instant zing.

Any high concentration Vit C serum will give you good results in a week.

Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter under your foundation, or as a PP said the dupe from Collection for £6.99 which is practically identical.

Long term, use Tret.

Chemical exfoliator made the biggest difference to me- I like the Nip+Fab ones.
