Walking boots - dubarry Vs le chameau

Does anyone have experience of walking boots from these two, and could help me pick between them? They're both in the similar price bracket of £250-£300, I like the style of both and are required for dog walking, with some hill walking. 12km distance sort of walks. Mixed terrain and conditions, often muddy. Mostly I walk in my £12 Dunlop wellies after destroying my hunters a few years ago but I'm after something a bit more supportive that I can wear all year round.
If niether of these companies, who or what would you recommend?
I'm not a brand snob, but I'm Cotswold based and I'd like to have walking boots which are, if noticed, recognised as being from a 'good' company and can transition from muddy fields to a country pub if you get the idea. It's not about showing off or trying to fit in, and usability is most important, but if I'm paying a decent sum of money I'd like them to be good and from a company which has a good reputation. I've bought from Dubarry before and been very happy but I know LC carries a lot of weight with some.

I swear by my Le Chameau, walk miles in them everyday in the autumn/winter. Bought them in 2018 and they’re still going strong.

I’d go Le Chameau out of those two. Mine are 8 years old and still in excellent condition with daily wear working in agriculture. Although for something that can go field to pub/shops I’d look at Fairfax and Favour Boudiccas or Explorers. My explorers are also a similar age and in great condition.

You have to try a few on, I find Hanwag the most comfortable quality boots

I have bony high arched feet though. It depends on your feet, so order both and try them on

That's really interesting, thank youm good to know LC live up to their reputation. I get advertised to by F&F a lot, but ai hadn't considered them for walling boots, so thanks for the suggestion @fyn
@HowDoYouOwnDisorder yes I think I will have to try a few to find what works, I definitely don't have high arches...

I'd recommend going to a specialist shop and trying several brands as they all fit slightly different. I like Lowa boots personally, they are really comfy and supportive - I've walked hundreds of miles in them and never got a blister or wet feet. They were a good bit cheaper than your budget, but they do look like walking boots i.e. not stylish!
