Sorry if this has been asked a million times but is there any way to increase vinted sales? I'm pretty new to it but from what I've experienced, items will either sell within hours of listing or they get no interest.

I listed a cheap perfume I didn't like, honestly didn't think it'd sell as the postage and fees put it pretty much to the bought new price but it went right away. I've a gorgeous playsuit and a dress that have had 3 views and 1 like between them in the past month. Also lots of £1 items have been favourited, I have bundle discounts etc.

Anyone had any luck shifting things that nobody seems to see? I've paid to boost a few things with no success.

Pay for a bump . I've sold loads lately - cruise dresses, fancy dress , stuff that's too small or too big , if it's nice stuff then it will sell - mine was all monsoon , Jasper conran , plus some sports wear new with rage and some immaculate shoes .

Bump
Your items .

I never buy primark stuff because once postage is added you may as well buy new .

I'm selling evening gowns and cocktail dresses at £15 . Silk blouse £10. Faith shoes -£7 . New look shoes £4 . Silk Fred dresses £5 . Next shoes £4 . Not worn - radley bag £5 ......
You have to pitch it right , photograph it ironed , hung up or on a tailors dummy, shoes show all angles plus heels , underneath etc , I've made a few hundred now but running out of stuff ! Saying that other vintage purchases I've made that haven't fit I've sold on at a profit .

I don't think things are as immediately-or-never as some people claim here. I've neither listed nor sold that many items, but the things I have sold went after a few weeks. I favourite items I'm considering and there too I see items go after being listed for a while. It takes time for people to be looking for something with criteria into which your item falls.

Thank you two, yeah I've paid to boost a few items but don't want to end up spending more on boosts than what I'll sell for! It's just odd to me that 1 item will get 100 immediate views then sell whereas another gets none.

I'm enjoying vinted for now so will stick with it and maybe learn some tricks. Any money I make gets spent on there too!

Delete and relist if an item hasn't sold after a couple months (I get lazy with this), as it puts the listing back to the top of the search, otherwise it gets buried in the masses unless someone is searching for that specific thing. If you have a bunch of things to sell, try to stagger the listings rather than upload all in one go because again, if you list regularly, it puts you higher up at the top. Don't lose hope if something takes a long time to sell, I've had things on for a year and relisted several times before it got sold. You're just waiting for the right person to come along (or so I tell myself!) 😉

I have started to add to my listings that people are welcome to give a reasonable offer if they like my item. It’s worked so far. No one has been really cheeky plus you can counter offer if they do offer low.

ive just bought a New look coat for my daughter aged 12, was on at £1.50…with fees and postage and paid about £4.40 in total. I don’t understand why it was so cheap and the seller isn’t making much money?, I don’t get it, am I missing something ??
sorry to de -rail thread

I've just got into buying - haven't sold - on Vinted.

Sellers who say their item is wool, silk or cashmere but don't show the label showing that I might like, but probably unlikely to buy. If it's my size and the label is shown confirming the stated fabric type I'll buy immediately- or almost immediately.

Same with brands. If I don't see the label, I will assume it's not really the brand.

Not sure if this applies to your items, but it's one reason I like but don't end up buying things.

@Monkeytapper items just go a lot cheaper on Vinted. More expensive items seem to take a lot longer to sell.
I sell things for £1.50-£5 knowing the buyer has to add postage.

But the seller had it on for £1.50 buy it now......so will get £1.50 for the faff and cost of printing label and taking it to drop off point?
