Turned 30 this year so thinking it’s time to add retinol to my routine… Any advice for how best to do this?

Can you recommend me a product? And any advice on how best to start a skin routine with retinol?

I know about having to use and SPF in the day but that’s about it 😁 … Anything else I need to know about retinol?

I have just started using this biore spf 50 over the top of my moisturiser (lumeme) which also has an spf 30 in. I like that it’s not oily and doesn’t seem to irritate my skin. It’s also a really good price on amazon.

I have just ordered some of the ordinary retinol serum too to try. How often is everyone using their retinol serum… Is it a nightly routine or a once every few days kind of thing?

It depends how much you react to it. And that depends on the strength of the retinol. For the ordinary, I'd start by trying it twice a week and if you don't have any problems from that, increase to every other day, etc. Just take it slow and remember it can take a couple of days before you start to feel sore and peel, so initially leave time between applications to check how much your skin is reacting before you apply again.

Have a look at face theory, I was bought a set for my birthday and have noticeably improved fine lines.

I was going to recommend Facetheory too. I reacted badly to No7, but I've had no problems at all with the retinol pro serum from Facetheory.
