Recommend me a cleanser

I'm looking for a cleanser to remove make up, I want something that will do a thorough clean and not leave my face sticky, that doesn't have to be washed off with water, and is not drying (not keen on micellar water for that reason). I'm 55 with decent skin but can look tired. Any suggestions wise ones?

The caudalie oil cleanser is great. Otherwise the cerave hydrating cleanser.

If you are a beauty pie member JAPANFUSION Cleanser is phenomenal at £9. Actually they may have a no strings membership trial on at moment which would allow you to try at members [price without commitment.

Oh sorry just seen you don't want to have to wash it off...I personally don't think you ever get a proper clean without water

French brands tend to sell cleansing milks that you take off with damp cotton wool or similar. Nuxe Very Rose is nice, as is the Caudalie one which smells of almond. If you want a cheap one, try L'Oréal Fine Flowers from supermarkets.

Thanks all yes I think a milk or lotion would be best for me. I don't like washing with water as I seem to get my fringe and sleeves all wet, we have a ridiculous tiny sink in our en suite which is not easy! I tried the hot cloth things but it seems a waste waiting for the hot water to run through from our combo boiler just for one muslin.

La Roche posay cleansing cream is great - has that sort of French pharmacy smell. I used that and then follow up with the Garnier rose micellar water. Gets everything on and that combo isn't drying as LRP is quite rich.

Base Skncare do a great hot cloth cleanser which I double cleanse with. It's got retinol in it too

Just jumping in here. I once had a small tub of this given me as a gift and I really liked it but the big tub is about £25.00, do you use the big tubs and how do long do they last for the money? Do you use other Clinique products too?
