Anyone know when there might be a 20% off one or shoes and boots ?
I've got nice pair of boots sitting in my basket but don't want to order without an offer .. they always appear after I buy something!!
All I have at the moment is coffee stamps ?!

Dogsgottabone · 07/11/2022 04:58

I had 20% this weekend. Bought a ton of clothes I needed plus I always buy niece and nephew pj's and a hat for Xmas so got those too and my children stocking pants (they are teenagers, it's a thing!!)

BarbaraofSeville · 07/11/2022 06:27

I've always got about half a dozen offers on my Sparks card and they seem to alternate between food and clothes/footwear. I've also had a few free things a couple of times a year, packs of apples/bananas, porridge pot, loaf of bread, percy pigs.

I probably spend £1-2k pa there, in a mixture of small to medium grocery shops yellow sticker hunting a couple of times a month, service station lunches at a similar frequency and clothes for me a few times a year.

RedRiverShore2 · 07/11/2022 06:40

I haven't had anything for about a month apart from a free cake which was very enjoyable, I chose a Victoria muffin. I usually get lots of food ones, very few for clothes and home though

cocktailclub · 07/11/2022 06:44

Not backed by science but I think it works best when I look at stuff, do NOT add to bag and then wait and then about five days later get an offer that covers the item. Just worked for me with Jeans (15% off) and home items (20% off).

However M&S generally annoy me with Sparks offers as pp said they seem random, unpredictable and not really related to how much you spend.

Tiredoftiers · 07/11/2022 06:45

I’ve got nothing at the moment, had lots on the card while we were away in the arse end of nowhere miles from an M&S. It’s the most frustrating loyalty scheme.

Glorieta · 07/11/2022 06:57

Just checked mine there in great hope and I've got 50p off a flipping colin caterpillar hot chocolate stirrer and 20% off a walnut whip advent calendar.
Wtf!!!

ikeawardrobe · 07/11/2022 07:01

I've got a free loaf of bread and 50p off another few items. I also have money off Harry Potter stuff. I have no interest in Harry Potter.

I really miss the friends and family 20% off. This sparks thing is not working. It's stopping me from buying.

Viform · 07/11/2022 07:08

DeborahVance · 06/11/2022 18:39

I've got 20% of Harry Potter kidswear. My kids are doing their A levels

Jesus, me too. Marks clearly not able to tally up with the size of the pants and socks I buy too bloody regularly

RedRiverShore2 · 07/11/2022 07:40

The Harry Potter offer sounds about as useful as the Gary Barlow offer last year

Waterfallgirl · 07/11/2022 07:42

SilverSilverStreet · 07/11/2022 02:29

@Waterfallgirl That free loaf offer was better for me than it probably was for you.

It included the “Made Without” loaves, which they sell at up to £3:40 each.

@SilverSilverStreet I’m glad it did include those for you, £3.40 for a loaf is just ridiculous.

Waspo · 07/11/2022 07:55

It's such a crap rewards scheme. I have zero offers. I got the free loaf of bread recently but that's it. I shop regularly in there, always buy uniform and kid's clothes, and random food items. But zero offers.

When I first got the card I did really well, I had £5 off clothes no minimum spend, randomly got a £10 voucher, various freebies. But now, nothing. It does not reward loyalty!!

Karatema · 07/11/2022 08:52

Of course it doesn't reward loyalty; you're already spending with them! Since I stopped spending regularly I've had all sorts of offers. Waiting for the 20% now to buy Christmas presents.

Wtf!!!

Same 🤣🤣😭
Maybe that’s the plan then we just stop swiping ass Sparks card which makes me feel really guilty but if that’s the game we’ve got to play

dreamingofsun · 07/11/2022 09:04

i think coctail is probably right. you need to look at things online and not buy them. my guess is that M&S will then send you a offer code to nudge you to buy. they would be stupid to send you codes otherwise as it would just reduce their profit margins for no good reason.

I've also got this, but also a free 4 pack of pears, so a decent freebie.

alwayscheery · 07/11/2022 09:56

Nothing at all on my sparks card apart from the loyalty coffee offer I previously loaded, However we the stamps were not added when I previously purchased coffees.
The sparks app annoys me so much I refuse to shop there anymore . In fact I may as well close my Mark’s and Spencer credit card.
Who thinks of these schemes 🙄

ihatesoaps · 07/11/2022 10:27

I've had some offers in this morning
20% offa Percy pig calendar, and money off some sugary drinks and some ready meals....none of which I buy!
I've got a basket full of clothes that I'm waiting for a 20% off for.....
But if cocktail is right maybe I should delete them?

Washyourfaceinmysink · 07/11/2022 11:11

The Sparks scheme really irritates me. The offers are so poorly targeted. I’ve been offered discounts on meat (I’m vegetarian), mens clothes (have never bought any), kids clothes (never bought, no kids, DSDs are 20s).
Lately it’s been food offers eg £1 off deli if I spend £7. A few pence off soft drinks. Woo hoo 🙄. Rarely buy food from them these days or even take my Sparks card out as they closed our local store. They’ve opened a new food store a bit further away, but it’s near a supermarket and some decent local delis/baker etc, so don’t usually bother 🤷🏻‍♀️

I want a 20% friends and family voucher, for clothes, home and beauty, like we used to get!

I looked at boots every day for about 2 weeks hoping to do this but nothing - they gave me discount for dresses instead.

Tiredoftiers · 07/11/2022 11:47

Just looked again at mine all food offers. The only one decent was money off meatballs, unfortunately we bought them yesterday had them for tea and my youngest vomited them everywhere at 0200 this morning. Having been scraping them partially digested off carpet at 0200 they are the last thing on my radar to purchase at the moment 😂 usual M&S sparks offer impeccable timing.

doublecleansed · 07/11/2022 16:09

I'd much rather there was just a 20% off weekend a couple of times a year than all the random offers like 15% a particular duvet cover or 50p off a bag of salad.

Thistooshallpass. · 07/11/2022 16:26

Just received 5 new offers ! All food related for stuff I'll never buy . 15% off a culled dessert etc ..
So I've caved and ordered the boots . Will keep and then return if a better code comes up . Ridiculous scheme !

OP posts:
canyouextrapol · 07/11/2022 16:28

I seem to get ones for stuff my local doesn't even sell :P

AntiqueCestChic · 07/11/2022 16:28

It's such an odd 'loyalty' card!

None of the offers have every made me think ooh I must go into M&S for that. Or encourage me to but the product while I'm in M&S.

Current offers I have are 50p off a £3 spend on jam and 50p off a box of fruit tea - neither of which I've ever bought at M&S. Plus 20% off kids Harry Potter wear - but I've got older kids who wouldn't be seen dead in HP- and M&S data/ tracking would show how old my kids are from all the school uniform I buy there!

Even the freebies I've been offered - a pack of broccoli, a loaf and some yogurt- didn't make me think ooh I must go to M&S!

Pearfacebanana · 07/11/2022 18:56

I got 20% off Harry Potter. A month after I've spent about £100 on it. Thanks guys.
