What's a good, fairly rich, natural daycream with SPF 15+ ?

Looking for something as natural as possible - currently using Neals Yard sunscreen but not having to use a moisturiser as well - would prefer more of a moisturiser with a sunscreen in it.

Skin can be quite dry but very open pores which is why I'd prefer one cream rather than 2 layers which are more likely to clog.

My last pregnancy played havoc with my skin - it went extremely dry and I couldn't tolerate my usual nivea, or it turned out, anything with any kind of 'chemical' in it. I was very pleased to discover Trevarno rose and jojoba SPF 15. It looks very thick in the jar, but sinks in really well, makes my skin look fresh and smells lovely. It's a bit expensive, but it is organic, so I guess that's why you'd pay a bit more. HTH.

Many thanks hoppy - there's someone selling it slightly cheaper on ebay too so will give it a try.

Never heard of trevarno. thanks again.

Avene do a really good day cream. French, no nasty additives and very soothing...

you can get it in bigger Boots stores and it's about 11 quid...goes a long way

Aveno do a good one as well

franch · 29/01/2008 12:09

Oh yes Avene's good, hoarse - do they do one with an SPF?

Ah - guess they do. Avene and Aveno the same thing?

Make sure it's the one with the SPF, as they also do a Rose and Jojoba without it.

This is also a great place to look for natural skincare. They deliver extremely speedily, and they list all the ingredients of the skincare products they sell on their website.

sorry, it's aveeno, different from avene

hoarsewhisperer · 29/01/2008 12:14

yes. my Avene one has an spf of 10....not sure if they also do a 15 though

franch · 29/01/2008 12:16

Oh B*GGER, hoppy, too late, it's the no-SPF one. Have emailed the seller to see if I can cancel. Serves me right for getting over-excited

Phew - the seller is getting the SPF one for me instead.

Will try the Avene and Aveeno ones too.

Estee Lauders new Revelation - you use it as day and night cream and it has a sun screen - can get normal/combination or dry skin variations and I have to say is the best face cream I have ever used!
