Travel make up

I used to travel a lot for work and had a fantastic all in one make up palettes. I think it was Dior or maybe Lancôme and contained eye shadow, blush, lip colour, highlighter, a mini mascara and liner and a couple of little brushes. It was never the perfect set of colours, but good enough and bloody handy for keeping with my travel wash bag so I never had to do any thinking when I packed. It came from a duty free shop somewhere and I have never seen such a thing in a department store.
Pandemic and all that means it is ancient history, but I am about to start travelling again. Has anyone seen anything like it on their travels?

I am currently using a Trinny London stack for travelling - base decanted in one of the T pots, a split pot which is blush and lip, another split of two eye shadows and a contour. It is nice and compact but is all colours I chose. I've had a few palettes over the years (I travel a lot) but I end up using only a couple of bits. I save mini mascaras from Boots freebies, and cut down the handles on an eyeshadow and a liner brush so it all lives in my travel bag neatly

Thank you for sharing this - I had no clue and this is such a great idea! I travel a lot and feel like this is going to be really helpful.

Regarding travel brushes, I got some very good quality ones from Japonesque. They have exactly the same brush but option of short or long stick 😉

I’ve looked at the Trinny products a few times as they definitely meet the travel brief. Problem is that I’ve never really used cream make up other than an unhappy attempt in my late teens that left me looking like Aunt Sally. I fear an expensive mistake!

As regards brushes, I got a travel set in the M&S advent calendar a few years ago and they are perfect. It’s a little pouch with about 5 very soft brushes and is ideal for the job. I have no idea if they are actually for sale, but they meet the brief if anyone is looking.
