What to do with these wrinkly eyes 👀

Any suggestions of what I should be using for my eyes to make them bright, less crinkly looking? In particular below the eye? Something that minimises my need to touch that area as I am paranoid about creating more wrinkles!

In photos I’m wearing brown mascara, urban decay primer on my lids and have lined inner rim of top lid (although I don’t think any of that is very visible).

How do I get the flawless eyes of my youth again please 😁

Moisturise and make sure you're hydrated.

Us a hyaluronic acid serum for moisture, seal it in with a cream, and for treatment use retinol and glycolic acid serum. These can be used around the eye once your skin has adjusted.

I'm not saying you need it, but a very effective option is tear trough filler. I had mine done by an ophthalamic surgeon. Google before and afters to see the kind of difference you might expect.

Cattytabby · 31/10/2022 15:49

You have beautiful eyes. The only thing I would do is let your brows thicken a little for definition.

Farmersweeklyreader · 31/10/2022 15:54

I agree with pp, you have beautiful eyes, really beautiful. Do you drink enough water? I always think my eye area looks better if im properly hydrated.

Tear trough filler is an absolute game changer

krill · 31/10/2022 16:16

I don't find tear trough filler does very much for actual wrinkles (check out before and after examples). Though they're great for hollows and dark circles if done well.

I'd try making sure you're hydrated first, and other tips already given.

EastFortySixth · 31/10/2022 17:14

I’m terrified at the prospect of tear trough filler! I just don’t think it is for me (although I reserve the right to reverse that decision in a few years!)

Hydration is a good shout…I’m not a water drinker so I suspect that lets me down. I will endeavour to drink more!

Thank you for the nice comments!

I have the same issue and dont know what to do about it

DillDanding · 31/10/2022 17:24

My sister had tear trough filler and it made her eyes look worse.

Do you use an eye cream?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 31/10/2022 17:29

You don't need to do anything, your eyes are stunning. I think growing your eyebrows in would help balance your features.

declutteringmymind · 31/10/2022 17:35

Look up beautif- eye. It's painful but it's amazing.

LyndaLovelace · 31/10/2022 17:51

Do you use sunblock every day?

You do have lovely eyes but there are also some pigmentation marks on your skin ( freckles?) which may be caused by UV rays.

I think you just need some gentle retinol creams for your eyes, but also use sunblock spf50 every day.

I don't think tear trough fillers would work. They are more for eyebags and deep hollows, not wrinkles. And from what I know, they can't go right under the eye as it's too dangerous.

I agree about the eyebrows, but not everyone can grow thick brows!

If you fancy them thicker, Rapidbrow does work but takes 6 weeks at least.

EastFortySixth · 31/10/2022 19:21

@LyndaLovelace It definitely is years of accumulated sun damage. I’m a bit unreliable with my spf these days so have avoided the retinols so far but I’ve just invested in a foundation serum that has spf 40 in it so potentially might give retinol a go.

Eyebrows are a bit of a tricky thing for me…they are very naturally patchy but grow like crazy so I need to trim them or I look crazy…I could do with thickening them up…I will look at Rapidbrow

How old are you ? If under 35 , yes they are a little wrinkled. If over 40 then probably normal.

45! I’ll take that ☺️

Please don't rely on foundation with spf for protection- it doesn't work, @EastFortySixth

It's far too diluted in the foundation even with spf 40.

I've just bought Ultrasun spf 50 moisturising sunblock for the face (£28). The leaflet inside says use a blob the size of your finger to cover face and neck.

They also do one that is very similar that will fade pigmentation, as does La Roche Posay.

You use retinol at night then apply sunblock in the morning. Use retinol only 1-2 times a week to start with and build up slowly.

Noted! That’s so interesting…kinda feels like false advertising or misrepresentation. Thank you

Following, I seem to have got much worse eye circles since covid. I just stopped my skin care routine completely

45?? Go away. (Said in the nicest possible way 🙂.

You have beautiful eyes. You could start with a a bit of preventative care, I guess. Other posters will know. But keep drinking water meanwhile. Proper Hydration is good for lots of things.

MrsDThomas · 02/11/2022 15:09

Im 48 and i have dark circles and wrinkles. Im a big water drinker, use eye cream, Clinique creams. It doesn’t make a difference.

im looking into fillers and even plasma treatments. Fillers look less intrusive but im also keen in plasma but the healing is longer.

and the cost, i need to save up
