Non-senders on Vinted

I seem to have developed a Vinted habit Blush but it really gets on my nerves when sellers don't send items - I don't know if I've just been unlucky but I reckon I've had about a 60% success rate! I wouldn't mind so much if they actually cancelled, but it's the thing of allowing it to drag on and then auto cancel which drives me mad.

Is there any comeback for sellers who do this? Do they get a "warning"? I think this is the case for Ebay.

I love Vinted but really don't like that if you get a damaged or non described item you have to pay to return it! Shouldn't be the case!

Wow, that's awful. I hadn't realised that. I've developed a bit of a vinted habit and always check the seller's feedback before ordering now.

I’ve had two things auto cancel and the buyer refunded and I bloody sent them! Proof of postage too! I’m taking my profile down and quitting I think

How annoying! How did that happen? Is that what happens if the buyer raises an issue? Surely they have to wait until it's been returned if that's the case.

They get an auto review of 1 star and you can add a comment to that. I did this the other day as a seller really annoyed me, 10 days after I bought something she asked me to cancel & repurchase using different courier which I did straight away then she still didn’t send it!!

You can definitely do something about that I had that before, message Vinted they will sort it out

I’ve recent sold a brand new feeding bra, that the buyer then kept for week.. then messages me sending me pictures of it completely torn on the seam. It was brand new so the anxiety in me thought maybe it came like that and accepted to refund it… she then kept it for a future we’l before I messaged saying actually it’s been two weeks and you haven’t sent it back and as per Vinted policies you have two days from delivery to send it back so I’m no longer happy tj refund after she’s (probably been wearing it) had it for 2 weeks! - she sent it back after I raised an issue with Vinted.. she was also selling all her other feeding bras on her page due to not breastfeeding.. suspicious.

Vinted aided with her and said as I already accepted a refund verbally there was nothing they could do. I was absolutely fuming as I’m 99.9 percent sure the bra didn’t come torn (it was brand new!!!) so I I’m think she deliberately damaged it to get a refund, or high meant I couldn’t realist it as I’d have to sell it for less than what bloody postage costs 😂

Also, when’s she brought it she asked for me to send it next day delivery and I ended up paying more postage than what Vinted charged her so I lost out!

ill never use Vinted again. I’ve only ever had bad experiences with buying, and now selling. I despise. Will stick to Facebook marketplace.

Im one of those non senders. I have 60 reviews and would have full marks if it weren’t for my 15 odd non sent items. Kept writing in descrip „Royal Mail only“ but kept getting sales with Evri listed and it’s irksome having to correspond back & forth for an item that I’ve sold for £2 … I am engaged but I don’t have a printer, have now discovered how to set my delivery preferences to Royal Mail only which has helped increase my send rate. I dunno, I’m selling really decent items for low rates and people still try to negotiate, irksome.

UnTrussworthy · 26/10/2022 20:58

@incognitodorrito

you can set the options on your setting so that Evri isn’t an option..

SpinningFloppa · 26/10/2022 21:28

I’ve had the same,
if something has been listed a while I also send a message to say is this still available, seller will respond almost immediately saying yes, buy it and then they don’t send it?! I would say it’s 50/50 on whether someone sends it ime

AriettyHomily · 26/10/2022 22:12

I well on Vinted and post once a week. I make this clear. Evri is also utterly shit and there is always a delay warning.

mayaknew · 26/10/2022 23:25

I buy and sell on vinted.

I'm going to be honest.... I wouldn't buy something I needed soon it's not a business it's individual people going about their lives. I never ever expect anything quicker than a week and even at that it usually takes longer which I'm fine with. If I need something soon I'll buy new.

I've had a few cancelled items not many maybe 2 or 3. One was when I went in holiday and forgot to change settings. The others where when I took COVID and vinted was off my radar. I've also had an item autocancelled that I've already sent.

I've had one difficult buyer. She bought the item then hounded me for two days asking if I had sent it. I went into app to download shipping barcode and I had a barrage of messages Quite rude and saying I had been online and ignoring her messages (I wasn't my daughter uses my phone and if I notification comes up she often clicks into it opening whatever app it is happens to me on WhatsApp etc people think if read messages that I've not) ... Anyway ... She cancelled the order. She annoyed me so much I sent her a message saying I literally am one person I don't have a customer service team!! I also have a note on my page saying I work shifts and can't always post right away but if you let me know you need something soon I will do my best !

Anyway moral of the story buyers get 7 days to post and I always expect to wait that long people have lives

Overall I have had positive experiences and I love it !

Literally they offer 80p! I’ve had someone not buy it as I wouldn’t accept the 80p. I do t mind people making an offer but that’s ridiculous .. and as you say, they offer like £5 for a £25 item 🫤

This is not possible to offer that low. Offers have to be at max of 40% discount.

MabelMoo23 · 13/04/2023 22:55

I’ve had something I was selling cancelled once, I was new to Vinted and didn’t realise my nearest EVRI point couldn’t print labels out (unless you were paying for the postage) so I had to then wait for my husband to print out for me from work and he kept forgetting - and the sale got cancelled, and I got 1 star review from Vinted, which I responded to to say it was my fault and I ran out of time after having printer issues

I now only use inpost as I can put in a locker, as the number of times my local yodel has a broken printer

basically Vinted is hard work if you don’t have a printer
