Can properly scuffed leather be repaired somehow?

I have some lovely pointy-toed boots that haven’t been worn much at all.

I really don’t want to get rid of them as they’re in absolutely perfect condition but the point at the front is really dinged (the leather is actually roughened, it’s not just surface-level scuffs). It just because of the sole design really.

Anyway, shoe polish isn't doing enough and I would like to actually repair them somehow. Is this possible? Some kind of building up and recoating of the leather?

Leather paint works very well. I changed the colour of some scuffed shoes. Used one coat to fill the scuff then 2 coats all over.

Touched up leather handbags too, barely noticeable.

Available on amazon.

Ooh thanks @DoodlePug. That seems like an option if I can’t find a way to get something professionally done.

It just seems like such a waste to get rid of them when the rest of the boot is immaculate - but they look absolutely shit front-on!

Also, I’ve got the exact same boots in suede with the same problem (worn white rather than roughed up obviously) so any suggestions for those also greatly appreciated!

Scuff Coat.
It's very good at covering damage.
Much used on school shoes.

Ooh I need this thread too.

I've ruined the tops of so many shoes flipping up my wheelchair footplates.

(I've sanded the underside of the plates, but it only takes one helpful pusher to run me into a kerb and the aluminium's all gouged and scratchy again.)

Experienced peeps: does ordinary shoe polish go on OK over the scuff coat?

Many colours of shoe here to do, some quite pale.

You need Renovating Cream. It's sold by most shoe-menders in a rainbow of colours. It restores the colour and shine really well, and feeds the leather.

Thanks, all!
