Find me a hairstyle to frame and minimise my fat pregnancy face

Ugh, my face has way swelled in pregnancy..so much so I look mannish.
I've got a square/round face so the extra puffiness has basically wiped out any definition I had. I'm hoping it will calm down a bit after baby is here, but my face has been widening as I age anyway so not too hopeful.

Anyway, thinking of getting a cut to try and minimise my face. I don't want to lose too much length though.

At the moment I have hair that skims my boobs and I style soft curls with an airbrush or roller. This tended to look better in the past but have recently done a bit more of a straightish blow-dry and it's maybe more slimming, which seems weird, as they say curls and waves are meant to slim.

I also got my last haircut from someone who said she'd do a curly cut but then basically did two uniform layers. I am thinking maybe I need a few more layers and possibly a proper curly cut.

Have balayage honey blonde at the moment but won't be dying it until after baby is born.

I used to have a bit of a side fringe but it has basically grown out and now have a weird Hitler sweep at times.

Thanks :)

I completely agree that straight hair would suit better than curls. Curls add width to the face and are recommended for thin faces.

I would avoid fringes as they draw the eyes to the jawline.

I think side parting, maybe French plait your outgrow side fringe or a pretty headband (all to show off your forehead which will distract from lower face and to balance the width with length of face).

Avoid dangly earrings and high necklines. V necks (a classic but not the most trendy neckline currently) is seriously flattering for chubbier faces and thicker necks.

Try A massage with Guasha or a face roller (you can put it in the fridge for extra effectiveness) and the usual advice about less salt/white processed carbs and more water and smoothies. You can also massage your face with an ice cube wrapped in tissue or a muslin square.

I don't know much about layers but I think balayage around your jawline might attract the eyes and draw them to look at the lower face. I would have the balayage further down if possible, like, collar bones and down otherwise all full length maybe highlights if you like them.
The idea is to draw the eyes up and keep the area from under your eyes to your neck clutter free so no curls to distract or dangly earrings or bright lipstick (emphasise eyes instead of lips)

A thing about headbands is that width, colour and whether they have a central knot or side knot can look very different even the fabric type on the headband or if it's plastic they all suit different styles so I would try different styles before dismissing them. Shein does them cheaply but read reviews are some are for smaller heads/girls.
