Face mole removal- which method

As I'm getting older a mole on my face is bothering me. It's not that big but noticeable on the front of my face. It seems more raised with age. I've decided that's it's going. I've looked at the methods my local clinic offers- all super expensive and excision is most expensive with curettage at the bottom and shave in the middle. Anyone had any of these methods done and able to advise on pro and cons? And which the dermo is likely to advise?

I used the Sk:n clinics to have mine removed and am very happy with the results. I said I was worried about them coming back and they put the risk at about 10%.
Can’t remember which method I had, they will advice you. It took a few weeks to get to a point where I could wear make up over the scars and then a year for the scars to go completely. I’m so happy I had it done.

I’ve had one shaved and one excised. The shaved one was near my hairline and the scar looks like a Freckle. The excised one was in my nasolabial fold so not suitable for shaving. The key for excision is to get a proper plastic surgeon to do it. It needs to have micro stitches and you only want an expert to do this especially if it’s in a really visible part of your face. I have a microscopic scar, it was done brilliantly (it was a very raised mole about 4mm diameter)

I think it really depends on the size of the mole and exactly where it is. I've had a couple removed and gone with the method recommended by the dermatologist. I've had one shaved, then cauterized and the other cauterized off.

I had one removed via NHS dermatology (it was getting larger and suspect). They clipped it out with a thing like a single hole punch, and put a few stitches in it for a week. You literally can't see where it was now.
