Best low cost shampoo ?

I seem to get through loads - DS16 has loads of hair and showers though so could explain it 🤣. I was pondering Tresemme shampoo as I have their conditioner and it's good enough for day to day
Tried the super cheap apple and raspberry ones from Aldi and not a fan. I like L'Oréal colour one - red bottle but it seems to go so quickly.
Any gems out there? I miss the old herbal essences that smelled divine and was pretty cheap !

We like the cheap umberto balsam ones for husband and the kids. I have to hide my expensive sulphate free shampoo from my husband so he can't use it. I recommend Hask, it's not cheap, about £6.99 a bottle at Boots but it's very very good and I wouldn't use anything else.

Actually it's on offer at sainsburys right now!

Aldi Mineral Clay shampoo

Pantene Grow Strong is ace, and on offer in Boots just now.

I buy the Aldi/Lidl L’Oréal thickening hair shampoo. I don’t think it thickens my hair but cleans it very well just like the L’Oréal one, but much cheaper.

I love the herbal essences clear ones - no sulphates or silicones. They're great for my fine hair. Normally about £2 a bottle from home bargains, savers etc.

AnnieSnap · 30/09/2022 23:09

Sainsburys own brand. Various types, surprisingly good, 50p and not tested on animals 👍

DS got through a bottle a week. Now I give him a shampoo bar of soap. He has had it for 3 weeks and loads left.

I buy Vosene,Alberto Baksam or the XHC Banana shampoo for the kids as they go through so much. I buy my own shampoo and keep it in my wardrobe for myself. Nothing worse than finding your expensive shampoo left in the shower with the lid of and flowing down the drain....was happening on a regular basis.

AlwaysFoldingWashing · 01/10/2022 12:29

You could try TK Maxx for really good ones which are well discounted?

Baldieheid · 01/10/2022 13:16

I like the Maui shampoo - the green one. I buy it when it's on offer as £9 a bottle makes me squirm. The brand's currently on offer at Superdrug but alas, didn't have my flavour.
I do have super short hair (thanks to a hairdresser who will never touch my heid again) so don't use much anyway. I could probably use dog soap at the moment and it'd make no difference....

Surelyitscoffeetime · 01/10/2022 13:18

I buy a great one in a green tube in M&S food hall. Best my hair has looked in years.

wincarwoo · 01/10/2022 13:30

Inecto. From Savers v cheap and recommended to me by v expensive hairdresser

GettingStuffed · 01/10/2022 14:54

I'd go solid, they last for ages, my last one lasted a year and ai wash my hair twice a week
