What can I do about this frizz/flyaways?

I have tried good conditioners , sprays etc I've even tried not brushing.

It just looks terrible! And I need to learn how to sort it out because my daughter seems to have inherited it... poor thing.

I don't have time to blow dry or straighten it all the time.

What do people do?

Depends on what kind of hair you have but I use a conditioner with lanolin in for me and my daughter as we both have dry, thick and curly hair. I keep mine straight.

Conditioner like Lush American Cream.

But also drying it down the shaft, if you are using a hairdryer you need to point the nozzle down don't wave it around all over for a quick dry.

@jeaux90 My hair is thin and fine :(

John Frieda top secret cream, little bit to just smooth it down, amazing stuff

SuburbanMummy123 · 29/09/2022 20:05

If you leave it to dry naturally without brushing/disturbing it after washing, is it wavy/curly? If so you need to embrace the curls
and curly hair care! 😄

A Keratin blow-dry sorted out my frizzy hair.
I have one every 3 months and don't need to use my straighteners anymore.

Following as I have fine wavy hair that does this. DS1's thick curly hair does too. DD and DS2 seem to be okay so assuming it's genetic.

I've never had shiny, swishy hair.

Frizzup · 29/09/2022 20:18

@Bananaman123 I'll give it a try. Thank you

@SuburbanMummy123 I'll post a pic of it next time I've washed it etc, as I've had it up all day so it looks wavier due to the hair band!

@ParkheadParadise With that do you have to use certain products in order to maintain it? I think I had a Brazilian blow dry years and years ago and I had to buy specific shampoo and conditioner which put me off.

@Frizzup
All I use is sulfate free shampoo & conditioner. You can get them in boots, superdrug, asda.

Fuwari · 29/09/2022 22:33

I tried sulphate free shampoo and it does work on frizz, my hair was definitely smoother, but the problem was it then looked a bit greasy. I don't know if I did something wrong but I gave up on it.

Living proof works best for me.
