Principles It is a bit shorter than the others, but I think it is lovely

nailpolish · 25/01/2008 12:31

capp

no one liked the coat i had a thread about

it had 3/4 sleeves - i found the most gorgeous arm warmers in accessorise - or i wear long gloves

and if anyone says "its too dressy" stuff them! nothing wrong with dressing nice through the day

if you ike it buy it

Eve · 25/01/2008 12:31

I don't think Great Plains is great quality.

I have a few of their t shirts and whilst 100% cotton.. they are so thin you could spit though them.

nailpolish · 25/01/2008 12:32

here they are

i bought them in dusky pink

v stylish when i put them on

nailpolish · 25/01/2008 12:34

that next coat and the wallis one too

hideous

NatalieJane · 25/01/2008 12:35

NP I liked your coat, I just couldn't be doing with the short sleeves

nailpolish · 25/01/2008 12:35

BUT YOU GET GLOVES OR WARMERS NATALIE!

makes a change anyway

NatalieJane · 25/01/2008 12:36

Must admit, the next one, after I posted the link, I accidently caught zoom, and when it zoomed it had white stictching, didn't like that.

NatalieJane · 25/01/2008 12:37

I'd rather get a proper coat, with proper sleeves.

I do think it looks nice with gloves/arm warmers, on other people, just not for me!

ahundredtimes · 25/01/2008 12:40

Oh Capp it's lovely. Very 50s. I like it.

Also 3/4 sleeves are flattering on those of a smaller build and frame - just get long gloves. I love it.

Won't look good with jeans though I don't think. It's a pencil skirt, tights, good shoes sort of coat. Not an everyday sort of coat.

Cappuccino · 25/01/2008 12:40

I have new gloves naily

red leather ones

I want to wear them with my coat

OP posts:
nailpolish · 25/01/2008 12:41

short gloves with 3/4 sleeves would look daft Capp

ahundredtimes · 25/01/2008 12:41

I have bought a puppy walking coat. I am accessorizing the puppy beautifully.

ahundredtimes · 25/01/2008 12:42

I think it will be acceptable with long black jumper sleeves coming out actually. I do. Hopefully this jumper should have three small buttons at the wrist. [demanding]

ahundredtimes · 25/01/2008 12:43

Also coat might need a brooch. Like a 50s one, bought at a jumble sale.

VanillaPumpkin · 25/01/2008 12:43

If your red gloves are long I say yes yes yes. It is lovely and stylish and interesting.

ahundredtimes · 25/01/2008 12:43

I like vintage clothing.

nailpolish · 25/01/2008 12:44

yes black jumper sleeves would look ok i agree

but not with red leather gloves too IMO

Cappuccino · 25/01/2008 12:46

ok need other coat

what do we think of this one is it boring

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 25/01/2008 12:47

That was my second of the Debenhams link, it is nice.

Well I think so anyway!

VanillaPumpkin · 25/01/2008 12:48

Nice collar though and red gloves will liven it up.

Cappuccino · 25/01/2008 12:51

maybe I could buy some fur and put longer sleeves on

[ridiculous]

OP posts:
fishie · 25/01/2008 12:52

i like great plains one, will look excellent with gloves and arm warmers v good, any opportunity for a new accessory.

debenhams quality of coats appalling

Tutter · 25/01/2008 12:55

sorry capp but some reason i thought you were my age

VinegarTits · 25/01/2008 12:57

I think you should buy which ever one you like Cappo, as we all have differnt tastes, if you like your first choice then just go for it.
