Wondered what people’s views and experiences are. I need to update my wardrobe and want to try some different things that I wouldnt necessarily try.

My friend absolutely loves them. Every time we compliment her on an outfit it has come from stitch fix.

On this basis I'd give them a try (but am trying to stash down my wardrobe!).

BryceQuinlanTheFirst · 26/09/2022 17:36

I've done about 6 boxes, I usually keep 2/3s, I like it because it stops me being too safe! And in a rut.
Some items I've really loved and are staples for me now. I just do one every 3 months.

Selfishly if you do fancy it! Here is a code

I watch a number of YouTubers who do stitchfix, on average only one or two items are selected

LadyPoison · 26/09/2022 17:46

Didn't work for me.

I kept one item out of 2 boxes. There was a dress I liked but I just couldn't pay almost £40 more for it than it was going for elsewhere...

Not another bloody stitch fix thread. There’s a least one a week. It’s the worst example of clearly using this board for advertising that I’ve seen.

YourLipsMyLips · 26/09/2022 17:51

I keep getting StitchFix ads on Instagram and without fail the outfits are awful. Looks like stuff from Tesco in 2008.

PreColumbian · 27/09/2022 21:19

For every person who loves it you’ll get another who says it’s rubbish. There’s really no point in asking. Give it a try as you’ve got very little to lose.

NewYorkLassie · 27/09/2022 21:28

Be careful of the quality, some of it is awful. And also check the prices of any high street items (I think they also have their own brands?). 9 times out of 10 you can find the same item in the sale on the retailers own website. This makes me think they are just trying to make money from the mark up so I stopped using them.

orchiopera · 27/09/2022 21:41

I did it once and it was so far off the mark it was ridiculous! Had to fill in the little quiz and write a little bit about what my style was like, they sent me to total opposite. It was comical actually. And all stupidly expensive.

dontgobaconmyheart · 28/09/2022 06:47

I cant think of anything worse or less likely to work for me than a stranger choosing my clothes. Surely anyone could get the same success rate going to any shop and taking a selection to the changing room (or ordering online) and picking a few things you usually wear and a few you like but wouldn't normally try and seeing how you go.

A friend did try stitch fix when it started, so a while ago- it may be better now but we both felt everything was quite dated and a bit naff qualify wise when we looked through what was sent.

Boating123 · 28/09/2022 06:55

I like it. I've had two lots so far and have kept all the items. I do it every 3 months.
It gets the headache out of going shopping with kids or trying to choose clothes online.

Cwcwbird · 28/09/2022 07:06

I did it for a while because I'm lazy and hate shopping - even online. It was OK. I kept one or two things from each box. Overpriced though which makes sense I suppose as they just mark everything up to pay for their 'free' picking service.
