Hair removal. Waxing? Nono? Lumina?

OK so possible tmi alert, but - back when I was a teen, I was overly zealous when I first shaved downstairs. Stupidly shaved along the sides of the fandango region. And now I grow hair there. It even spreads to as far as the arse cheeks. (Feeling better about your own day now? Lol)

Anyway, I recon waxing would be best, at least for the less sensitive parts but I'm not brave enough. Wondered if nono would work for the removal? And if those lumina zappy thingys might be better long term?

Don't wanna spent 150 and 300 and find out neither were much use. I see you have to shave first for the lumina though? (And sod doing that again!)

Anyone use either for similar circumstances or on the bikini area and find they are decent. Or should I just bite the bullet and wax?

Also, what are they like for those buggering little chin hairs that spout up overnight?
And, I've never done my top lip at its blonde hair but...I swear as I get older I just get more and more hairy! Turning unto chewbacka here!

I'd worry if I do anything woth my face that the hairs will grow in thicker and darker though.
As they did in the nether regions lol.
Help!

I go for a Hollywood wax and can't speak for the other options you have suggested. But your hair is not growing anywhere in addition because you have shaved somewhere as a teen, the body does not work like that.

I don't fully understand you post about shaving as a teen making you more hairy?

I wax every 2 months and find it very easy, my hair is fine now and it doesn't take very long.

I haven't tried the other things so can't comment though I know they are popular.

Basically I shaved where there wasn't really any hair (or maybe, tiny little blonde ones) Now there is and it's grown in almost like public hair would. Bit sparcer perhaps.

You’d have ended up hairy where you were always going to end up hairy, shaving doesn’t make that difference.

I’ve used at-home IPL in all the areas you mention, with success.

BryceQuinlanTheFirst · 19/09/2022 17:18

Your shaving wouldn't have changed where you grew hair.

Wanmoreday · 19/09/2022 17:23

Nah the shave definitely triggered it. I know that. Like that's not even a question. So it can happen because it has happened - to me.

Now I gotta figure out how to reverse the damage lol.

Most people have hair there. It's what is removed if you opt for a 'bikini line' wax. I get a hollywood, myself.

primeoflife · 19/09/2022 17:24

It's a myth I thought. Everyone is shaving their faces these days and they aren't growing full beards in between.

OP you were always destined to be a hairy arsed person 🤣. Good luck finding something that works!

freezingmytoesoff · 19/09/2022 17:27

It is very normal to have hair where you have hair, this has not happened because you shaved there when you were a teen. Even if you had not shaved that area, it would have still grown there later...

Wanmoreday · 19/09/2022 17:27

Well tbf my leg hair was blonde until I first shaved it too. I do think a first shave triggers things to grow differently sometimes.

Shaving does not make hair grow quicker, longer or where it did not grow before.

I'm surprised the "body hair is great brigade" haven't been along yet. Give it time.

Zeeza · 19/09/2022 18:04

Adding my voice to the shaving doesn't make hair grow thicker / darker brigade. We are meant to have hair there as a species as it stops friction and getting chafed skin.

Use whatever method of removal you find works best for you. Everyone is different. The home lasers worked well for me.
