Hair loss/breakage driving me mad!

I am wondering if anyone has this and can advise please.

So I had a baby 2 years ago and had the expected hair loss, didn't notice as my hair is thick, until starting getting the shorter bits coming through at the front. But 2 years on and still have shorter bits coming through! I did breastfeed for a year (stopped nearly a year ago) so wondered if I lost more when I stopped bf due to hormonal changes.

But surely I shouldn't still have these really annoying short bits at the front of my hair?!! I can't put it all back as they stick out so quite limited on styles.

I look after my hair, I do have highlights but hairdresser stays clear of the shorter bits. Don't use much heat on it, condition it well etc.

Any tips please? I've been patient with this but it's driving me nuts now!

Can't comment on the hormones side of things, but I have very fine porous hair which breaks easily. I've been using this: www.pantene.co.uk/en-gb/hair-products/hair-oil/keratin-protect-oil/ for the past six months and am finding much less breakage. The Pantene grow strong bamboo conditioner is also fab and inexpensive.

Thank you @JonahAndTheSnail I will give that a try, I will try that to strengthen it as some parts of my hair are quite dry.

When I bleached my hair (first and last time) a year ago, I got loads of breakage which I hadn't experienced before. I tried a few things but the most effective was a Kerestase anti-breakage blowdry cream in the green tube and Redken anti-snap spray. I combine them and add them to damp hair. Every wash at first but now every other time or so. They are pricey but I've had them for almost a year and still have loads in the bottles.

I loved my hair lighter but hated the breakage so I am unlikely to use bleach again, it's just not worth it for me.

Ok thanks @UpToonGirl I'll have a look at that, perhaps it will make it stronger as it possibly does break off in places.

I just don't know why I get this re growth constantly at the front!

I’ve had the same after babies and still not fixed itself 10 years on. But then I never really tried that hard to fix it, kind of just waited… 🤦🏼‍♀️ Well it didn’t happen and actually got worse in the last year or so (lots of stress) so thinking of getting some advice from GP maybe, prescription strength vitamins as it could be some sort of deficiency?

That's interesting @Notmyyearthisyear I hope you get to the bottom of it. It's not the worst thing to have to deal with but it is annoying! I was ok with it happening post partum as thought it would be temporary but 2 years on it's still the same!
