Time to Chuck my summer scarves?

I just went to do a bit of a clear out and have a huge drawer dedicated to a rather large collection of summer scarves.
It has just occurred to me that I haven’t touched them for over a year. Are they done now? Do I just get rid. Feels so wrong. Some were quite expensive. But when I put them on I just think of my 2013 baby mummy days with skinny jeans, Breton top and long cardigan mosying about with my bugaboo pram and firstborn.

@MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake
ive seen the eBay prices…..you’re right but it’s not the value it’s the sentimental value -it was a ‘landmark’ birthday present and so well thought of its so lovely and makes me think of them every time, i have not worn it much, I just look and feel it sometimes - I am worried about getting it clean as well 😢

i think this would be in the category of ‘indoor’ scarves …I remember a previous thread about ‘indoor’ scarves, was quite funny , does anyone remember that 😊

I’ve recently got rid of mine, I used the wear them in the office on chilly days but now they just seem so dated. Plus I’m not going to the office much anyway.

They are very frumpy. Tend to be worn by those concealing fat bellies.

Oh indoor scarves is a good term!

I've kept all mine. I'm 50. Some silk ones that my friend's dad designed for Liberty back in the day and she kindly gifted me. I've got some that my mum wore in the 60s. A beautiful YSL one I've worn for decades.
I'll be wearing one tomorrow to my dear friend's funeral. I'll wear it tied and then bowed.
Keep them.

They are dated - I still wear them though because they are practical in an office where you never know how the temperature will vary. Plus I'm in my 50s and not a beacon of high fashion, so don't care about looking dated, I'm more interested in keeping warm.

I have loads of scarves now but it's a recent thing. So versatile. I started because my chest burns so easily so it's great to throw a lightweight scarf over it when sitting outside. Can carry in bag or knotted round the handle when out. Can put round shoulders if it turns cold. Or looped attractivly if v cold, round neck. Round waist if at beach (abroad obvs), round mouth if mask forgotton and feel vulnerable in highly populated shop. You can sit on them if stone wall needs padding or a screen from the damp. (Most of mine are cheap). I think I could go on! Disclaimer: have my own fashion and like to be different anyway.
