Mine is really comfy practical boots. Preferably Chelsea boots.

I’m trying to be more thoughtful in my purchases as I have so much!

I'm buying this roll next jumper - a key piece that I'll have for years: finisterre.com/collections/womens-knitwear/products/womens-merino-farne-roll-neck-knit-jumper-oatmeal

That is lovely.

Boots too. I've annoyingly developed inter metatarsal bursitis in my foot which means ALL of my current footwear hurt like hell. So I need something with a wide rounded toe with a cushioned inner - which is proving difficult to find!

@Polgara2 try fitflops, they have cushioned, memory foam insoles and arch support. I don't wear any other brand so have a variety of different styles.

A good quality pair of ankle boots. Won’t be Churchs’ though as balked at the price!

I bought a nice single breasted navy mac from M&S recently.

would like a wool Winter coat with zip fastening and attached hood.

Your post made me curious, a long time ago i used to be given the odd pair of church's shoes, almost always had to exchange them for something i would like to wear, and although the prices were beyond what i would pay i thought they fell into the higher end of normal highstreet, OMG HAS THAT CHANGED! The cheepest pair they sell today is £500!!!!

Floydthebarber · 04/09/2022 08:49

That jumper is lovely. I would love that in a round of v neck. Being quite large of chest high necks make me look quite matronly which is not a look I am going for! Are they worth the price? I'd pay that if I knew I would get a few years from it.

I have done a huge amount of ordering and returning so far this season, so far I am keeping:
M&S khaki faux leather pleated skirt
Hush teal diagonally pleated skirt
H&M emerald green jumper

I am waiting for a green slip skirt from Hush and a black Meem Label dress which I have debated over for several seasons now.

happytobemrsg · 04/09/2022 14:17

I like to find a uniform for each season, makes it easier for me. In the summer I wore linen shirts & mom jeans or wide leg trousers with T-shirts.

This autumn I’m planning on wearing chunky knitted dresses with my OTK boots & I’m updating my wide leg trousers look for the colder weather. I’ve got a few dresses on order, as well as a couple of thin jumpers & a pair of wide leg trousers from Zara. I’ve got some great jumpers from last year which will go with my wide trousers (because I got them cheaply from H&M I bought them twice in preparation for when they go bobbly).

If they all work out then I need some good quality black leather trainers (considering some from Jones). The office is casual so I get quite a lot of flexibility.

What's the sizing like for hush? I'm normally 10/12 depending on the brand. I don't know whether to get this skirt in 10 or a 12.

Isabelle70 · 04/09/2022 16:14

I would like a pair of lace up ankle boots in patent as I wanted some last year and returned them.
A midi skirt
Straight leg jeans

AnnieSnap · 04/09/2022 16:34

Despite having confessed earlier to not needing a thing, I accidentally bought these today 😳

I’m still wearing Chelsea boots that I bought from Clark’s pre covid. So comfy.

DSGR · 04/09/2022 17:16

I size down in Hush

Polgara2 · 04/09/2022 17:20

@TheEggChair ooh I shall look. Do they come in a wide fit? My feet are actually not wide but this damn thing means I need a lot of space.

Actually I might start a thread asking for recommendations 🥾👟

I have this skirt and love it. I’m also between sizes and usually size down, but sized up in this as I wanted it to sit lower on my waist.

I do this too. Been wearing midi dresses with trainers all summer, plan to wear them with tights and boots as the weather gets colder. Also wide legged trousers with shirts and brogues, will add knitted vests over the top by late autumn.

Its boring to have a uniform, but it makes life so much easier.

Isabelle70 · 04/09/2022 18:40

Well I didn't need a T-shirt but to get the £20 discount I did 😀
Hopefully this midi won't be too much of a maxi on me.
If anyone wants a £20 off £80 spend at hush, I have this reward code not sure if if will work for you but worth a try.. I don't need to buy anymore.

Anything pure silk, wool and cashmere on Ebay for warm layers. Shelled out for a Dryrobe in the Spring sale and bought a Gorilla robe mega waterproof thing for me and DD8.
Warmth is the key word this year for us! That and layering!

This shop on Etsy do lovely coats - here's one that might be what you're looking for, for example:

Or this (but it's not as long):

Oh my god they're amazing, thank you! 😍I cycle a lot so the shorter one is perfect. Now to decide whether I can justify spending about £100 more than I intended... eek!
