Spa With 10yo

Does anyone know of a spa hotel
I can take my (hugely mature!) 10 year old to? She wants us to go together as a treat; somewhere with a pool etc as well as a basic facial and maybe a pedicure?

I don't know of anywhere that will let children in!

We're in London but couple travel to places in the south east?

Sometimes local salons do pamper packages for two people. I can’t think of anywhere that would allow a child in; people go to relax, not to have kids around.

Let me know where accepts 10yr olds and I’ll make a note to not consider it in the future (but hope you find somewhere!)

How about home spa treatments or booking them to your room while staying at a normal hotel? Or a normal hotel with pool etc but book treatments (nails etc) locally?

Gosh, some people are so mean!
What's wrong with taking your mature 10 year old????

Viviennemary · 02/09/2022 18:19

I agree with Thistlesifter. I wouldn't want to go to a spa where 10 year olds are allowed. Its nothing to do with being mean. Why not five year olds. Over 18s only should be the rule IMHO.

Greengr · 02/09/2022 18:20

Some adults can be more annoying than children!!

Because for every “mature” 10yr old, there’s countless typical and “immature” 10yr olds.

So unless some kind of Briggs Mayer pre-booking maturity-gauging test is in place to only allow the former, then it means you’re highly likely to also be encountering the latter.

May as well just go to a normal hotel/resort with treatments onsite or center parcs type place if that’s the case.

Many hotels have a spa and don't ban kids from the pool. It's a long time since mine were that age so my kid accepting hotel pool knowledge isn't up to date but try calling places like Hilton's and holiday inn's. Whilst most will have a no under 16 spa policy most allow basic manicures for younger children, maybe a facial.

Perhaps call devere too

4everHome · 02/09/2022 19:27

I’ve been to spa’s and restaurants with annoyingly loud cackling women on hen do’s, I wish that could be banned! Good on you for wanting to treat your daughter.

cansu · 02/09/2022 19:29

I don't think you will find a spa but you should be able to find a salon that might do some treatments.

SteveBuscemisRheumyEye · 02/09/2022 20:42

Yes I do understand - I wouldn't generally go to a spa that would have children, hence not knowing any. My daughter has ASD and is extraordinarily well-behaved; actually, she's hate anywhere that would allow more rambunctious children!

Maybe we can find somewhere that has a hot tub type thing and an on-site spa
