Allergic to eye make up?

Hi - it doesn’t seem to matter what I do. I’ve thrown everything out and started again, I’ve washed my brushes and I’ve reduced wearing make up massively. But every now and then I do want to wear some and nine times out of ten one eyelid swells right up afterwards and I end up on ointment from the pharmacy. It’s getting me down.

Can anyone recommend a good clean make up provider? I’ve tried Boots, M&S, Yves St Laurent, Naked …..

I was wondering if Bare Minerals would be worth a go? Please help …. I need all the help I can get. 🙏

This happens to me too. I then realised that there is nickel in mascara. I cant wear any eye products really only tubing mascara and bare minerals eyeshadow primer which has now been discontinued

You could try tubing mascara as you only need warm water to remove it. Instructions say warm water on a cotton pad but I just use warm water on my fingers and works fine. I use the no7 one.

Came here to write this exact suggestion! The No7 one is called Stay Perfect - I love it.

I have a lot of skin sensitivities and also got really horrible chalazions on my eyes at the start of lockdown - I came to the conclusion it was because I'd stopped wearing mascara and was therefore not cleaning/massaging my eyes frequently enough! Heat masks helped at the time - I liked the silk bag one that you put in the microwave - and cleaning with Blephasol seemed to help a bit too. I now wear tubing mascara 3-4 days a week and that seems to have solved it 🤣

I'm either allergic to mascara remover or the cotton wool I use to remove the mascara.
I'm sick of it.
My eye lids go all red and swell up. Often for almost a week.
I've always had sensitive skin and have scalp psoriosis.
Very pale eyelashes and I can't use mascara or get them dyed.

Have you tried CeraVe miccelair water? I've used just about every remover on the planet and this is the only thing that doesn't irritate my eyes.

OP try Lilylolo.

Blephasol makes my eyelids red and swell up.

I am allergic to a lot of stuff. You need to let it calm right now first. After that I find clinique is good, but eyeshadow that sits in the crease will still annoy me.
