Help with rubbing shoes!

I want to wear these shoes for a wedding at the weekend, but the problem is they rub on the outer side of the toe straps.

Any advice other than covering my feet in strips of plasters?!

Can you try stretching them a bit? Use leather stretch spray if they are leather or buy/use a shoe stretcher.

I’ve got some spray stuff somewhere. I shall try and dig it out.

Shoe stretcher and wear them round the house with thick walking socks on.

I rub a bar of soap over the part of the shoe that is rubbing. It mostly helps by softening the leather.

Put thick socks on and blow a hairdryer around the shoes. Should stretch them to fit your feet

Compeed plasters are good and aren't too obvious

Compeed blister stick is good too

Right I’ve got a shoe stretcher on order (for a pair of boots actually but might work for these) and I’ll try socks and hairdryer tomorrow. I’ll load up on plasters before the weekend.

Thanks all.

You can also try rubbing some Vaseline on your feet on the areas where it rubs. A friend gave me that tip a few years ago and it can work really well.

No harm having the comped etc handy too though!
