Pink Elvive One, v good for dry, frizzy hair. Also like kerastase oleo relax. Will go and check my cupboards for more....

Monkeytrousers · 21/01/2008 18:10

Have long hair and for performance and convenience I pick Pantene Pro V repair and protect. A large one is from 3-4 quid. Really shiny and also dyou don't have to leave it in; it's on and then straight off - no fannying around waiting and it works.

Monkeytrousers · 21/01/2008 18:11

Have used it for years. Still trying to find 'my' shampoo though

I love Aussie 3 minute miracle best value conditioner. Along with Pantene smooth and Sleek although if I use it for too long it starts leaving a fill in my hair.

and this Tigi one really moisturising and smells delicious. Bit expensive but I buy a big one from Ebay and it lasts ages.

Also like Kerastase masquintense very nourishing for my thick hair but not as nice a smell.

Oh yeah one more- Fudge dynamite is good as well:

Another vote for Naked Hair from Boots, its cracking stuff.

SorenLorensen · 21/01/2008 19:02

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette the everyday stuff and the intense conditioner

Oh and LilLap (is that LittleLapin?) Boots now do the little tubes of conditioner (like you get in hair dye) separately - I think it's Nice n' Easy, rather than Feria but it's good stuff (there's also a Boots own option a bit cheaper - 90p as opposed to £1.29, something like that - but it's nowhere near as good).

Tigi Honey & Oatmeal...it is fab and makes your hair smell divine

brimfull · 21/01/2008 19:13

I use sunsilk leave in conditioner

here

very good if you're in a hurry as it serves two functions, conditioner and styling stuff.

brimfull · 21/01/2008 19:15

sorry forgot to add it is £2.19 at boots

surely this depends on the type of hair you have? eg fine, flat blonde hair like mine is going to need very different conditioning to thick coarse curly hair.

I love Aveda Camomile shampoo & conditioner - have yet to find a cheap alternative that is half as nice.

TellusMater · 21/01/2008 20:06

Another vote for Aussie 3 minute miracle.

Birdly · 21/01/2008 20:09

Agree with everyone who mentioned Aussie 3-Minute Miracle.

It's great for post-swim hair or just to put a bit of softness and shine back into dull, processed, getting-drier-with-age hair (like mine!) .

Hassled · 21/01/2008 20:11

Another vote for Pantene conditioners - I have shoulder length, very thick hair and it is the only stuff that means I can actually get a brush through it after washing.

iamdingdong · 21/01/2008 20:13

john frieda brilliant brunette makes hair shiny and highlights last longer

aussie 3 min miracle

tresemme any kind

Cremolafoam · 21/01/2008 20:39

agree john frieda sheer blonde conditioner is the best i have found- and i am not allergic to it unlike so many others.

CatIsSleepy · 21/01/2008 20:41

am tempted by 2 that got good write-ups in the guardian mag this saturday

Simple intensive conditioning treatment £2.99

and Kerastase chroma reflect (£24...yikes!)
both got 4 stars

will most likely get the Simple one....

in the meantime I use Aussie Miracle moist
smells lovely
it's not bad but my hair's difficult to tame and I need something that doesn't leave it a curly nightmare when it's washed...

TheBlonde · 21/01/2008 20:49

what I want to know is how to have nice pricey conditioner but stop DH using it

Cremolafoam · 21/01/2008 20:53

ok catagories:

best most effective pit spray( anti perspirantdeoderant)
most fabulous light perfume for upcoming Spring
best new mum kit
best travel size bag of goodies
