Tretinoin use during sunny weather

I don't use tretinoin during hot/sunny weather although I wear SPF50 suncream.
Do many people keep using theirs in this hot weather? And gave you noticed if you skin becomes more photosensitive? I never know if it's a good or a bad idea but it seems safer to me.
And I can't tell if such a long break is advisable.
I use 0.05 strength and when going back to it (October time after all potential travel is out of the way) I pretend I am first time year and re-introduce it gradually.

I'm always very, very, very tempted to keep using it though. Maybe even once a week instead of 3 times/ week which is my normal application frequency. Advisable or not? What extra precautions could I possibly take? I can't stay out of the sun all the time and other than religious SPF50 I can't think what other precautions to take. Regular hat wearing wouldn't be practical.

I've had to stop using it in the summer months as I was reacting really badly to it (massive sore flaky patches AND spots all the time). I wear SPF50 every day and actually wasn't even in the sunshine that much but it was bad enough to make me quite wary. I've cancelled my Skin + Me prescription but I might pick it up again in the autumn/winter.

That's the sort of reactions I'm worried about!
Haven't come across any clear material on this online so sharing your experience is very useful.
I think safer to still abstain for a while then.
I hope your skin has recovered.

I’m using dermatica and have continued to use it but every other night (I was using it every night until about may/June).
no adverse reactions and I’m diligent with spf and topping up throughout the day.

If your son has fully retinized (I.e you have both using it a long time and your skin has fully adjusted to it) then it’s safe to use in the summer months (with spf and hars etc)

If it’sa new ish addition to your routine and your skin is still quite sensitive, you get the occasional redness and flaking. Then it’s best to avoid use over the summer
