DD is after one but I am wondering if they are worth the price tag!

I've had one about 3 months. I wouldn't personally recommend it as I find it difficult to use. If she knows someone who has one it would be worth her trying it out before a potentially expensive mistake. It may just be that I'm useless but I have practised lots. It's good for straightening and smoothing but I really wanted it for waves. Overhyped in my opinion

I’ve had mine for 4 years. For me, it’s great. I now find my hair quick and easy to style. I’ve got thick hair but it still works really well. I used to be really fed up with my hair before. I also love never using straighteners because I used to worry about the heat damage I was doing. Would 100% recommend.

I really like mine but it was a gift. I have waist length hair and it makes it lovely. It's a super hairdryer. I haven't experimented with all the attachments yet

Cas112 · 14/08/2022 20:49

I know a couple of people who have them who are obsessed with them and highly rate them. I'm still debating treating myself due to the price haha but I've never seen hair look bad after using one

Love mine, it's so easy to use and gives me just-out-of-hairdressers hair in minutes. And hair is in so much better condition now.

theresaratinthekitchen · 14/08/2022 20:53

I use mine for the hot brush attachments to dry my hair quickly. I've given up trying to curl with the curling barrels and use a cheap wand instead.
I have a babyliss styler thing with all different attachments that cost about £40 and gives me the same result.
I've watched all the YouTube tutorials and spent a long time trying to get it right but I must just have the wrong sort of hair.
My hair is frizzy/ curly and very thick so maybe that's why it's not great in my hair.

LordEmsworth · 14/08/2022 20:55

Yes and yes, though I know not everyone would...

I love mine, gives a much better finish than a hairdryer and my hair is in amazing condition.

I have one. In fact I have had two. I got one when they first came out in 2018 and last week upgraded it to the newer one.

I use it every single day, you have to invest in watching videos and tutorials but it’s fantastic. Even if I’m not doing a proper blow dry, I use the drying attachment every time I wash my hair and have actually given up my hairdryer and now only have this one Airwrap for everything!

I upgraded to the newer one last week because I felt my one from 2018 (which had worked perfectly with daily use since then!) and I wanted the new attachment for flyaways. I sold it on FB for £200 second hand to a young girl so perhaps look for that option too?

but seriously- worth every penny but I’d suggest tutorials galore first!

It’s definitely not worth it. The curls don’t last half an hour, no matter what you do. You can get it and return it within 3 months if you aren’t satisfied...so you could try that? Wish I’d returned mine to be honest...£479!😳

hamdden12 · 14/08/2022 21:15

It's definitely not worth the money. The curls I get are no better than with hair straighteners and definitely not worth the price tag. I do rate the dyson hair dryer though, it's much quieter and faster than any other hair dryer I've used.

DaisyDaisydoo · 14/08/2022 21:23

Yea and yes. I think it really depends on how your hair holds curls though. Mine will easily last two days but my hair naturally holds curls easily.

PegasusReturns · 14/08/2022 21:28

No not worth it.

I take mine on holiday, the versatility of hair dryer, brush and curler is convenient but I get a better look with my babyliss big hair and ghds.

GetOffTheRoof · 14/08/2022 21:32

I have one and wouldn't recommend them. I literally only use it like an overgrown hairdryer because the curls don't hold in my hair.

Cost a fortune, would have been better to buy a £20 hairdryer and a knock off version of the Babyliss Big Hair.
