Forehead lines at 32! Please help

As the title says. I've suddenly noticed I have forehead lines even when my muscle is relaxed. I am only 32. I have gone through possibly the most stressful year of my life, and I have asymmetrical brows anyway which I'm conscious of, so I have been raising my brow more to make them look more even. Suddenly here I am. I'm feeling very down putting makeup on in the morning. My foundation and pressed powder seems to sit in these lines making it look worse.

For the past 6 months I have been using an exfoliant with BHA which is supposed to be anti aging. I have now ordered an 0.1% Retinol which is something i've never tried but have heard can have good results. In the daytime I wear Moisturiser with SPF under my makeup.

Can anybody help or make me feel better about this?? I have gone from looking young for my age to looking haggard and old practically overnight.

I got a fringe when I started noticing forehead lines and it worked well.

I'm 38 and have always looked young for my age so never bothered with anti-aging stuff until this year when I started to notice forehead lines (like a v in between my brows) that makes me look permanently cross! I've been using No 7 perfect and protect serum followed by the protect and perfect day cream and I've definitely noticed a difference. I've also ditched the foundation and just use a good quality illuminating primer now and people have commented how good my skin looks, I think the foundation was actually aging me.

Use a separate SPF to your moisturiser would be my advice. To get the appropriate amount of SPF on your face combined with a moisturiser or foundation you'd have to trowel it on. I really like this one...

It leaves my skin nice and glowy and if I really needed to I could whack make up on top without it piling. I don't bother with a day time moisturiser anymore as this is so nice on my skin. They also do a mist to top up over make up during the day. If you're using acids/ retinol etc it's really important that you use enough SPF every day. X

I started Botox around this age, done well no one will noticed. That, SPF and light make up

I also abandoned foundation a while ago tbh. Too lazy to use it but time and my job make it pointless. I just spot conceal where I have to and if really necessary I'll powder my nose and chin. The last time I tried foundation it just looked cakey and weird on me.

I'm 39 and have a pretty stripped back skin routine that seems to be working. I use cerave non foaming face wash, the ordinary copper peptides/buffet, morning and night. I use the SPF I linked every day. Probably every 3 evenings I chuck a bit of tretinoin from dermatica on my face and whack a load of cerave moisturiser on top- if I use it more frequently my skin gets really irritated.

@neverbeenskiing did that give you bad skin initially? I’ve been trying to persevere with it but have small under the skin spots from it 😵‍💫😵‍💫

yes to separate stand alone 5 star UVA UVB spf and then botox if you want. Fringes can be very flattering as they come in different styles to suit different faces BUT not in this bloody heat. Get in the habit of not moving your face much or being so expressive. Sunglasses and hats help as well (to not scrunch up your face in the sun)

Thanks for replying. I already have a bit of a fringe, but I still don't fancy lines underneath.

I have ordered Paulas Choice Retinol Serum 0.1%.

I'm now wondering how to actually use it...

So at night time, after I cleanse and dry my face, I currently apply Paulas Choice Anti-Aginig 2% BHA Exfoliant as I have really oily skin. Followed by a moisturiser.
I would apply to retinol in an evening, so where would this come in the routine? Pre Exfoliant or after?

I wouldn't do the retinol as well.
Maybe give your skin a break and use proper SPF. You are risking (more) sundamage otherwise

No retinol and acid product at the same time. Your skin will not thank you for it. Definitely use a separate SPF to your one with moisturiser- unless you're applying shed loads of it you won't be getting the right amount of SPF protection.

Bit of vaseline at bedtime!
