Beauty disaster before being A bridesmaid

Help!

I have woke up on the day of my sisters wedding. Few days ago went for my eyebrows to bed waxed, yesterday got a spray tan. Wanted to feel my best.

rhe Wax was extremely painful and tender afterwards which is unusual for me.

woke up today with two massive dark bits where the wax was. I am so worried, will this be able to be covered with makeup?

I can’t exfoliate it off as it won’t budge and is still so tender.

Is it a bruise perhaps? Hopefully the make up artist can cover it!

Coffeekam · 12/08/2022 06:32

It’s not a bruise. It’s where the fake tan has saT in the damaged/tender skin.

Concealer will cover that. Don't touch it any more. Nice eyebrows btw and have a great day.

Thank you for the reassurance. I honestly don’t know why I bother, usually the more I try the worse I look!

The same thing happened to me, it will be well covered up by make up. Enjoy the special day!

I’ve not tried it but I read lemon juice can fade fake tan errors. If not, the make up person should be able to cover it. Agree, lovely shaped eyebrows.

villainousbroodmare · 12/08/2022 07:55

I would say lemon juice if it were elsewhere on the body but where it is, imo don't touch it or rub it or put anything on it that's going to make it sore or puffy. It will vanish under makeup, I promise.

Could you get some of this stuff:
www.boots.com/st-tropez/st-tropez-body/st-tropez-ran-remover-mousse-200ml-10260627
and because it's up around your eyes, be really really careful about trying to remove the fake tan. Perhaps squirt some of the mousse out onto a piece of kitchen roll and then use a cotton swap to collect up some of the mousse and try to gently remove the excess tanning on your eye.

If it's on both eyes, could it be used as some sort of eye fashion statement? I thought you had done some sort of 'feature' with eyeshadow where the fake tan is. If all else fails, run with that!

I wouldn't recommend using lemon juice around your eyes. What if some got into your eye? It would sting like hell!

babyjellyfish · 12/08/2022 09:21

Don't try to remove it, you'll risk damaging the skin further.

Makeup will cover it. Are you having your makeup done professionally? If so, just explain the situation to the MUA and let her handle it.

nzeire · 12/08/2022 09:37

Beautiful skin, great brows!
it will be covered, don’t worry!

make sure you have a good cover stick in your bag for touch ups!

Thanks everyone. The make up artist done an amazing job. Covered it completely, couldn’t believe how well it covered. She said it was probably due to me using retinol and I shouldn’t wax whilst using it.
