Milia removal

Has anyone had milia removed?

I have one right at the side of my nose, it's been there for a few years, I feel like it's grown and is visible in pictures. I've stupidly attached it with a sterilised needle this morning and it just wouldn't come out Blush it's quite sore now so will leave it alone until it heals.

Has anyone managed to remove one themselves at home? Should I go and pay someone £80 (!) to remove it for me or is it possible at home?

My 11 year old son has a couple. One is near his eye so I don't want to try anything myself as he will flinch. What do I do? Who can remove it?

I found if you annoy them with a needle day one they pop out easily with a gentle squeeze from under the scab day two.

I find you need to make a hole on one side with the needle and then gently push it out from the other side as usually it comes out like a small waxy ball.

My son had one near his eye, I'd gently kind of scratch it, or massage it. It eventually went.
