Joggers for very long legged skinny 13 year old

I’m struggling to find any joggers that fit my tall, very skinny (clinically underweight due to previous illness) and ridiculously long-legged 13 year old boy. It’s like he’s been stretched into a piece of spaghetti 🙈. So far anything I’ve tried that works lengthwise could probably fit around him twice - his waist is probably the size of a 7 year old. Does anyone please have any suggestions for brands we could try? I’ve bought him slim fit Boden joggers in the past but he’s outgrown them lengthwise although they are still baggy around the waist/bum. I thought of jeans as an alternative but he won’t wear them 🙄.

Try H&M, Hollister and Jack Wills. They cater for teens and older so it’s possible to get slim/long clothes. You could also try M&S and TKMaxx. TKMaxx I’d often brilliant for odd sizes.

Next are fantastic!

Nope. Its impossible. Joggers are the worse. They nearly all have false drawstrings and are so thick at the top, even if you do find something adjustable, they are very bulky.

If he will tolerate the thin sports style ones, we've had luck with them. Also H&M almost teeshirt like material, but trousers.
Useless for winter. Lined walking trousers tended to come up better in length for winter.

And adjustable waists for everything else.

Oh that’s brilliant, thank you! He’s had T-shirts from Hollister in the past - didn’t think to look for joggers. Haven’t tried Jack Wills so will look there as well. Next has been good for shorts as we’ve sized down (with a LOT of leg on show 🤣) but they still come up a bit short in joggers - but thank you.

Joggers are such a nightmare aren’t they, with the bulk around the top. I was hoping perhaps now he’s older, he’d be more open to trying some different styles but no 😩I’m a bit worried he’ll still be needing adjustable waists when he’s 18!

Have you looked at the smallest mens sizes?. I don't know if they do equivalent but dd is similar and I buy xxs (size 4 in adults which is usually smaller than an age 13 at the waist) but has the adult length. I find primark good for this as they stock lots in the small size and it's also better for DD's taste as she hates slogans and trim that seem to come with many kids ranges

That’s a good idea - I guess he’s on the cusp of outgrowing kids sizes length-wise, but nowhere near adults in terms of overall width/frame. I’ll try primark! I’ve had a look at Hollister etc online but I think the adults ones are still too big overall for him even if the length might work…

Primark is the only place I think that regularly does a wide range in such a small size. Hopefully they have an equivalent in the mens range.

I have the same issue here. We used to buy joggers from Petit Bateau, which were slim and not bulky, but now DS is out of the their biggest size. I did find (if your budget will stretch) that Italian and French kids clothes are much slimmer fitting and neater cut .

My son is very skinny, he likes thicker joggers because they disguise what he calls his 'chicken legs'
If you can sew at all, they can be quite easy to take in a bit. I started cutting the pockets out of his joggers, the whole section including that chunk of waistband and then sewing them back together.
Because the fabric is a little bunched there normally, you cannot see the stiches, it keeps the waistband and start of the hips tighter while letting him have loose legs that are long enough.

Another vote for Hollister. I picked some up at an outlet that cost virtually the same as primark.

Try Zara.

Try Decathlon, my skinny 13 year old fits into men's small but they also have extra small in the men's that may work.
