Funeral in hot weather - would sandals be a no no?

Small funeral next week of an elderly man, 12 people attending I will be only non-relative, would flat black plain sandals be ok? Planning to wear black 3/4 length wide leg trousers and would a vest style blouse also be ok or should I just wear white blouse? Don't want to swelter but also don't want to do the wrong thing?

At a funeral on a hot day last year I wore shoes for the ceremony but changed into sandals with one strap for the get together afterwards. But I'm sure nobody cares what you wear as long as long as people aren't disrespectful. For instance, I certainly wouldn't wear my 'Jesus Loves You But I'm His Favourite' t-shirt 🤔
