There's no need to buy a special SPF just for your face. It's just a smaller, more expensive tube.

Reading the label on my La Roche Posay SPF50 huge tube, it says it's fine for face as well! Ends up cheap as!

Yes I started using my kids' sensitive skin sunscreen on my face a few years ago and have never looked back. I like it much more than the other face sunscreens I'd tried previously.

I don't wear foundation etc though - I imagine some special face sunscreens would be suitable for under make-up whereas some body sunscreens might not. Or perhaps there's no difference at all actually but that's just what I've assumed.

facial spfs tend to be more refined and lotion like. SPF for the body tend to be thicker and greasier.

Yes you can of course use body one anywhere but facial ones are usually lighter and some have tint in.

I actually quite like a thick cream rather than a really runny product.
And have never got on too well with tinted products.
And per pp, children's products can be less irritating and cheaper.

The thick ones give me spots.

The Roche Posay facial version is one of the only ones that does not make my eyes sting, the body one does.

Here's another obvious point so many people don't seem to realise ... it's called SUN block not HEAT block: whether the temperature is 30 C or 20 C, if there's sun you need it! Wear it year-round and think of it as moisturiser.

In winter the UV levels here rarely get above 2 so I don't wear it.
