Hi

I've been on Dermatica for a few months and they've impressed me.
You take some photos of your skin and answer a few questions , they then come up with the best prescription for you . I do it for anti ageing but they also deal with a few other skin problems.
Here is my refer a friend code. I think you'll get it for less than £3 for your first month and then 25% off for your 2nd. If you go for it they give me £5 off .

My take on trying it is it's really easy to cancel if you don't get on with it.

I have been using Dermatica since January and my skin has been transformed and I wish I had the treatment the last 30 years. I originally signed up for anti ageing but they responded that I needed the rosacea treatment. So I am pleased they don't just prescribe anything.
I like that it's one product of a night, really easy and I like the texture of my cream. My tube lasts about 6 weeks so I change my shipping date on the account.
I am type 2 rosacea so redness and my chin was always bumpy, rough, spotty and congested. It is now smooth and clear with no redness. When I look in the mirror I don't look like me as I have been so used to the redness.
I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
I had been to the doctor over the years and used all sorts of medication, the Dermatica is the only one that has made a real true difference.
I have a code if you would like to give it a try, as they have treatments for acne too as well as others.

They both do the same thing, you will find fans of both, often just depends what you started with. So in that sense it probably doesn’t matter which you pick.

Personally I prefer Dermatica. I found the slip better when applying the cream. The dispenser on Skin and Me clicks the right dose out but I found it didn’t seem enough. I think Dermatica move you up to a higher grade retinol faster, although this isn’t necessarily good for very sensitive skins. Skin and Me starts with a very low retinol. Other than that they are virtually identical.

I'm sure this will turn into a thread of people giving their referral codes so won't add mine (but am happy to give it if anyone wants one).

I've tried both and much preferred skin&me. Both the product (and results) but mostly the customer care. They're very responsive if you want to add or remove things that aren't working or if you feel you need your skin reevaluated if things aren't going as well as you'd like you can request this. Just generally always find them accommodating and helpful.

I have a similar skin type and I did need to invest in a decent moisturiser to avoid dryness. I think if you go with skin and me they should still have an offer on for a free trial of their cleanser and moisturiser with a sign up. The cleanser is lovely and hydrating.

I’ve used Dermatica and enjoyed it. (I stopped for now because I have two tubes to get through, but I’ll probably go back on once I run out.) Haven’t tried Skin&Me but I expect they’re much the same.

I've used both and find them very similar. I personally prefer the Dermatica doser so am sticking with that for now. I did prefer the tretinoin strengths from Skin & Me. They do a 0.04% which was perfect for me. Dermatica do 0.025% which feels a bit too low strength as a long term user or a 0.05% which is just a tad to strong for nightly use. But I just didn't get on with the clicker and much prefer the pump from Dermatica. My skin is better 1 year on, but not the perfection that others have seen. I still get annoying hormonal acne on my chin, my pores are still there and I've seen moderate improvements to mylasma but not completely gone.

So what exactly do they provide (as you mention investing in a decent moisturiser)? Is it a treatment serum that you apply day and night or something?

Hello you get a vial of serum which you use at night and it is enough to last you a month or so . You are also strongly advised to use a sun screen .

TheOGCCL · 30/07/2022 19:04

The USP of both companies is providing a small tube of what is effectively prescription skincare, personalised for you depending on what your needs and goals are, eg ageing, acne, rosacea. They also do other skincare products but these are optional, it doesn't take over your whole routine.

Ah ok I see!

@KittyCatsby I've signed up using your code!

Will they be able to help with eyes too? I've got terrible circles and fine lines

I've been using skin and me for a little while and am really impressed so far with the effect on my acne and I've had no side effects. It seems very gentle but effective.

I’ve also tried a bottle of Dermatica (couldn’t resist the free-ish trial). They've prescribed the same mix of ingredients as my skin and me treatment but a slightly higher percentage of tretinoin. I’ve found it does dry out my skin a bit, so I’ve been using it every other day (and just one pump, which is significantly less product than a skin and me dose).

I think dermatica will be more cost effective long term if my skin can learn to tolerate it (I’m going on two months of use and still haven’t run out). Though my skin seems to tolerate skin and me better.

If anyone is considering either I have referral codes for both I'm happy to share 😊.
