Is there a fake tan that will last a 2 week holiday?

Just that really!

I'm a pathetically pale English rose, and would love to look bronzed and beautiful on holiday, so would invest on a spray tan or similar, but is there anything that would survive chlorine, suncream and sweat for 2 weeks?!

I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask!

Can't be arsed fake tanning on hols and can't tan gradually, naturally, cos I just fry!

You could try a gradual tan, once every two days before you go and a few times when away? Skinny tan is good.

The rule of fake tan is simple. Beautifully applied, seamless tan will fade in two days. Streaky, hastily slapped tan will remain humiliatingly stubborn for three weeks.

My fave is Bondi Sands, it's great for scaring kids with too as it turns you green before it turns you brown.

No in my experience. A week max before it starts getting patchy.

I would use a gradual tanner. Use a few times in the 10 days leading up, as a base. Then when you're away put sun lotion on in the day and gradual tan cream in the evening. Much easier than 'actual' fake tan and not really any different to what you'll be doing in the day with sun lotion.

I am so pale, I use the good old retro st tropez mousse. All the others I used went patchy and faded horribly, I do two coats before I go on holiday and top up probably every 3 or 4 days. Never looks uneven or patchy. It’s expensive but worth it. None of the others came close and believe me I have tried them all!!

Hi OP, I am a completely ghost white freckly non-natural tanner as well and I have got to the stage where I can't be arsed with fake tan most of the time any more.

However, when it must be done, then PP is right, a gradual tan a few times before you go and a few times while away, is your best bet. St Tropez gradual tan is good. Looks like a really light natural glow... no smell, no orange skin, no streaks, and way less hassle in general to put on compared to normal tan. It really does only take 2 or 3 minutes to do and you can get dressed within minutes.

I can also apply it in about 3 mins and it dries very quickly.

Not really, unless you do not go in the pool or sea and moisturise every evening. The pool chemicals and salt in the sea are abrasive so wash it off, and it will flake off with dead skin. So by doing these things it is more likely to last about a week before going patchy

Brilliant - thanks all! Confirmed my suspicions, but will.try and pull my finger out! xx

Tanologist medium drops! £15.99 in superdrug.

Much better than isle of paradise and truly, truly easy to apply.

on hols, when you get out of the shower and are still damp, rub half a dropper over each leg and same on arms and blend over chest. 2-4 drops on face.

No colour no smell no hassle, a friend said ‘god you look like you’ve been frying yourself for a fortnight in Majorca 90s style’ (a true compliment).
