I am nearly mid thirties. I really need some help on what to use for my skin and what I need to do. Ideally I want a moisturiser with an spf in.
Anyone recommend soMe good brands? I used to use a lot of anti spit cream

I was about to ask what on earth anti-spit cream was but since that's cleared up;

What is your skin like now OP? What skin concerns do you have? (Dry, flaky, oily, blemishes etc)

What is it you want to achieve with the products? What is your budget?

iloveyankeecandle · 19/07/2022 16:53

Ideally about £20 for everything all in. Or does that sound low?
I want a nice clear looking face. I have red cheeks, it's occasionally oily.

I think it totally depends on your skin type. I have acne prone skin so select a range based on that. I'd say start of with quality but low price products.
I currently use dermalogica and love it OMG

When I started out I used La-Roche Posay. They have so many routines that cater to different skin types.
Here is a routine for dry skin I found which might help:

I really like facetheory products. They're the first thing that have made a noticeable difference to my skin. It can be hard to know what to buy, but there's a routine builder that is quite helpful.

I second La Roche Posay. Reasonable price and great products.

Creative Touch is a beauty salon located in Rotherham, maybe Zoe Bayliss can help you!

Nivea does an excellent and inexpensive moisturiser with spf30 - www.nivea.co.uk/products/q10-anti-wrinkle-power-protecting-spf-30-day-cream-40059005456880045.html
They also do a facial sun screen spf50 - www.amazon.co.uk/Nivea-Face-Shine-Control-Moisturizer/dp/B07BCTT9BS
There is a La Roche Posay tínted sunscreen which you might like, still within your budget - www.amazon.co.uk/Roche-Posay-Anthelios-UVmune-Tinted-Fluid/dp/B09SLGZDXH/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=la+roche+posay+tinted+sunscreen+50&qid=1658317480&quartzVehicle=5-96&replacementKeywords=la+roche+posay+tinted+sunscreen&sr=8-3
Do you have oily skin, since you used to have spots? The LRP gives a nice finish to the skin without looking "made up".

iloveyankeecandle · 20/07/2022 14:24

Thanks all. I'm going to try LRP and see how I get on

I recommend MD Laser and Cosmetics' products, 100% effective.

Jahssck · 25/07/2022 16:06

I start with three drops of the MD Stem Cell Factor 55 serum over the entire face and neck.

Follow with MD Skin Brightening Cream. and finished with the MD Ultimate Eye Cream.
This is the Skin Care routine I got coming from Dr.Lin in MD Laser and Cosmetics San Mateo.

iloveyankeecandle · 01/08/2022 09:26

@Liveatthehigh thanks for the Nivea recommendation. Boots didn't have lrp in so I got that instead. It's brilliant!!

Glad to help!

Creams are the most essential when it comes to skin care, but not all creams could work. You must seek for professional help in order for them to identify what serums and creams you are allergic to. Like mine, I went into MD Laser and Cosmetics down in San Mateo, they recommended me a skin care routine based on my skin condition and the things I am allergic to, in conclusion I am happy and satisfied with the results.
