Wardrobe moths: tips?

I think I might have wardrobe moths. I am not sure it's them but I have noticed two holes in two of my cotton and linen tshirts over the past week. Seems like a coincidence that it happened to more than one item in a short space of time. I already use cedarwood disks (although I hadn't refreshed them for a few months) but is there anything else I can do to keep them away? Also, what is an adequate quantity of cedarwood I need to use? I have a small double wardrobe and a couple of shelves.
Thank you!

Moths!

the bane of our lives. My DH bought a coat on eBay, and since then we have moths. Should have got it dry cleaned immediately.

we vacuum them when we see them and take everything out of the wardrobe, shake it, brush it, and vacuum it out.

they breed in cycles, so sometimes you see lots of them flying around as they are looking for mates, and then you see hardly any as they have laid their eggs and the little larva are chomping through your clothes.

cedarwood does sfa imvho

I put boxes of incense sticks in all my drawers and wardrobes. Never get moths so think it works to repel them (although they sometimes fly in the house and we kill them). It also keeps my clothes smelling nice.

This. Keep taking clothes out, shaking them and vacuuming the wardrobe and in drawers. Moths like somewhere dark and undisturbed. But also look elsewhere. DH found lots the other day when he moved the bed and a shelf to vacuum behind.

I use lavender hanging things and little lavender squares in the drawers, get both of these on Amazon. Like pp I also bought a top from ebay and washed it at 30 as soon as I got it but the temp must have been too low. So annoying at it wasn't that cheap and I was trying to do the right thing by buying second hand!

That’s exactly what happened to us @vestedinterests we got more than we bargained for, a lot more!

Are you sure it’s moths? I’ve never had a problem with cotton, only ever wool and nearly always cashmere.

Are the holes on the front in the same place on each item?

I use Zero in moth killer, you need something that says 'Kills moths, Larvae and eggs'.

Lavender and cedar wood wont do anything at all.

You can also put things in the freezer for at least 72 hours. Place in plastic bag that you can seal and don't pack things in too tightly.

I thought I had moths in my wardrobe, few tops with holes. Was my bloody zip on a certain pair of jeans as I found out with a brand new top that hadn't even made it in the house.

The Rentokil moth strips that you tape to the inside of drawers and wardrobes work a treat. Never had anything eaten since using them
